Good morning - morning crew!
It's 1700 here in A-stan and (or 1230Z) if anyone's interested in using "Idiot" time... they should have called it idiot time instead of zulu time....
Oh yeah, Hi Mr. Mayor! [ November 16, 2004, 06:35 AM: Message edited by: Rebuilding in Faith 90 ]

Hi Mr. Mayor!
I joined the Army ROTC (they offered to pay for my college - the Corps didn't)...
Spent 11 years on active duty... got out and stayed in the Army Reserves... My team has been here since April and we're due to rotate home in April 05...
There are lots of Marines here... Had a great Birthday Ball on 10 Nov...
Semper Fi - fellow Marine!

Good Morning Idiotville
Our internet is down once again at home. I am hoping it will be back up this afternoon. Our provider is doing a bunch of upgrading
We had a great weekend, We went to the MSU game to watch them kill WI It was great. Yesterday was the opening day of deer season here in MI so all the kids had the day off. I worked Sunday night so I could help KY with the kids. I don't know how she can handle all those kids everyday, to stressful for me.
I hope you all have a great day.

Hey Believer,
RIF-
It's really dark here in California too, but its 5:30 AM. So how do you guys pass the time? You need a care package? ______________________________________________
I'm an engineer for the base so my days are fairly predictable, unlike the grunts that are out in the field hunting down the Taliban... Work takes up most of my time 6.5 days a week... we try to take off on Sundays for church.
We've got it better than the troops out in the outlying camps... We've got two PX's, a Burger King, several local specialty shops, and several gyms... so I can't really complain, other than being away from my W and three girls!
The Armed Forces Network has several channels here so we get most of the sports, news, movie, and family channels here... and they sell bootleg copies of 1st run movies at the weekly bazaar so we watch a lot of movies...
Thanks for the kind offer to send us care packages, but we're getting more stuff than we can use right now... we're giving most of it to the local Afghan Girls School that we sponsor.
It's hard being away from my family, but it sure is a good feeling to see the improvements that we're doing across the country, and especially for the women and girls of Afghanistan...

Mornin Y'all!
It's really odd, that everyone is on here, thanking RIF (BTW, me too, I'll get to that in one second ) - I just saw the video for the song "Letters from Home" - that song always brings a tear to my eye, thinking about the sacrifice our soldiers (past and present) and their families make just for our freedom, but seeing those young men, it brings in a reality that a mental pic doesn't give, and well, I was bawlin like a baby -
Just made me want to say a HUGE THANK YOU!!!!!! to Mr. RIF, and all the men and women who have given of yourselves in such a selfless way - you are in our prayers daily, and truly you are HERO's!!!
OK, well, lest I start again, Thank You!
To the rest of Idiotville, hope y'all have a great day!
ST - you'll have to call KY and tell her hi for us!
See y'all soon! ~LemonDash

Ballet slippers - like the leather practice slippers, or pointe shoes that are satin with the box (where the toes are) is hard, and you must wrap lambs wool around your toes to keep them from bleeding, or character shoes that you use for different folk dancing (they have heels)?

RF Welcome to Idiotville. What kind of fishing do you do? I love to fish, ice, trout, salmon, walleye and pan fish. I am not much into bass fishing.

Hello, all. Today has been so busy it's been like a Monday. Yuk. Cuts into my MB time.
Gotta go now - will return soon.
Fishing - I used to love to go fishing. Haven't been fishing since I married 34 years ago. Iceberg doesn't like to fish.
