Hello Mayor,

Happy Thanksgiving to you and all here in Idiotville.

Robby - are you still doing turkey potpie and tator tots? You are always welcome at our table. LINY bought a 30lbs. bird and I'll making like 15lbs of real potatoes and we've got a large bottle of whine (yes I said bottle and not jug) ......... Hum I don't know whatelse we'll being eating ......... I guess corn (LINY's favorite), candied yams, carrots, peas, and stuffing(s) (usually LINY's from the turkey and stove top). I'll make some bisquits and some homemade gravy too, I guess. I still have to bake that cake for SIL's. I could make some cookies too - I think I have some frozen dough - I better go get it out the freezer. So, if any of this sounds appealling - hop on a plane and head on up to Long Guyland - dinner is around 3:00pm. Oh and you will be required to say something that you are thankful for at dinner prayer. Okay??? See ya then.

Peace and love to all {{{IDIOTS}}} !!!

L.I.T - I only learned how to make gravy like 4 years ago - up until then it was Heintz in the jar . Now, I've mastered it.

There are alot of things I still want to learn how to make - stew, homemade soup(s), and homemade gravy (or sauce for the non-italian-americans). One day, in my free time I'd like to go to a cooking class or two.

I do make some pretty interesting stuff when I do cook (which isn't very often - not alot of time or need - since LINY isn't home for dinner and the boys are hardly ever around). There are never ever any leftovers when I do cook (I don't really think it's b/c the food is sooooo good. It's b/c I don't feed them for like 3 days b/f I cook ).

Anyway, L.I.T enjoy your breakfast and your day

LIT I felt a bit out of sorts but nowhere near as bad as I deserved !

Was nice to be giggly drunk with my Squid though! Never thought that would happen again !

First time I've been mildly drunk since my 'car' incident a few months ago.

Didn't take a lot to make me giggle I must say !

Thats me done now with drinking until I get to Florida

Yes, I am thankful for the sun. We had a FROST last night !!!

Thankful my S is with us still.

Thankful IB is hanging around all day so far - she must be out of town.

Thankful my mom and his mom are well enough to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Thankful his family is all here for the holiday. Besides my mom and son, his family is all the family I have. Oh, I have some cousins but most of them don't live around here.

Thankful I have had the honor of being married for 33 years.

Thankful I have a good job and can support myself if necessary. (Thank you, Daddy)

Thankful we have plenty to eat, when others sometimes don't.

Thankful that I am a strong woman who can face whatever comes, and rise above all obstacles, both physical and mental, even though I long to be weak and lean on others, I just can't.

Thankful for Jesus Christ, and the hope I have for eternal life.

Thankful for my Idiotville friends, who don't complain when I'm having a bad day.

Happy turkey day. I'll stick around for a little while, I think. Must go finish cooking and getting dressed. Will check in this evening again.

One more thing - Just went outside to son's truck. We gave him satellite radio for Christmas last year. On Sirius Satellite Radio station 16 (I think) they are playing "Alice's Restaurant" all day long. What a kick - for those of you too young to know this piece, it's Arlo Guthrie's war protest song which is partly sung, partly spoken, and the story of how he avoided being drafted during the Vietnam war. It's set at Thanksgiving, and particularly funny. Very long and convoluted story, and I could listen to it over and over. Anytime today you can tune in and hear it as many times as you would like. So the three of us went out in the yard and sang along. What fun.\

Oh, well, just thought I would share this.

Squid lost a friend today. A noble ex karate champion who subsequently had a hard life. He was struck with polio and lost his physicality, then his horrible W stole his money and his heart to leave him abandoned and heartbroken.

He had just found happiness with someone new and planned to marry her when struck with Cancer.

He died this morning. He was not a beleiver which adds a new level of sadness to us.

Squid is sad tonight so I took the family bowling.
Squid won ! We had a lovely time the kid are SOOO tired now they're going to bed early.

Squid was loving, affectionate, appreciative.

She said " I thought I'd thrown all this away, baby. THANK you. THANK GOD".

A lovely night. At such times I recall and pray for all of the folks who are still here we have been - in that dark hopeless, loveless place.

Father God I pray you work out your plan for these your children's happiness as soon as works.

Let them know the safety of a loving family: of repentence and forgiveness.

Let them come to you and know your Grace Lord Jesus.

Amen.
I love you all, I really do. And I care for you. And we will SURELY have more down times, but tonight I am a kind, and Squid is a queen, blessed by God.

Happy thanksgiving everyone.

RH Checking in.

Happy Thanksgiving all.

Amen to Starz thanks.

Bob, I think you have the most dramatic life of anyone I've ever known. Hopefully, this loss will bring Squid closer to you AND help in recovery.

Night all and {{{{{hugs}}}}} to all!

Well, another Turkey day done with. We had a nice Thanksgiving with family. Packing now to go to deer camp tomorrow a.m. Looking forward to a couple of days in the hill country. Must come home with meat, I am told. S says I must kill 2 this weekend. Have packed 2 bullets.

Hope everyone's turkey was good (or pot pie) and that you had some pie to go with it. See you guys on Monday, I guess, as I have no internet at the camp. That's what we call roughing it. I will probably have 20 pages to read on Monday. See you then, I guess. I'll miss you guys.

Gobble, bobble, {burp}.

Hey Idiots.

Nice dinner...went to sister's for dessert--evryone but mom and bro from WA left. Oh well. (It's been a long battle with my siblings to have them understand I WORK N/S!!!! At times, they still call me (even before 3yo D born) at like 8 in the AM. Wahtever!)

There is no threadjacking in Idiotville, so here goes.

Bob: I remember posting my first thread on MB. I knew I was a real [censored] remembering what I wrote, but brown resurrected it (and sincerely glad she did) and, well, confirmed that I really was a pompous, know-it-all pr!ck, now wasn't I? (In case Pat does some editing: Bloody [censored].)

It's Idiotville, so I'll make it short. I just reread your own resurrected thread. I know you wrote that "only" a month ago, but you validated something for me today that I have been having a problem with: you validated that so much progress can be done in a short amount of time. This came up in one of our conversations that I had with brown the other day: so much progress has been done (and seen), yet it seems like we (in particular me) are continually being "tested". So far, so good, but it's work. I'm not kidding myself any more. But, it's also all worth it!

Just wanted to say thanks to you too. Completely agree with FH. However, you are an inspiration, much like believer is, to the human element.

Oh, and one more thing...

quote:
And if I can EVER help any of you, do not hesitiate to ask.

I'm sure there will be a time. (You already are, but I'll think of something more specific!) And I'll make you eat these words!

And since I'm having this dialogue with you now, a special prayer for FM today. I know he hasn't posted in awhile and the two of you really have a special place with me, especially considering we all began on MB within the same week. So far, Marriage 2, Fog 1. *BUT* better men 3, lost souls 0. He's a good man--better and stronger than I could be--and he doesn't deserve this. Much like I really don't deserve to have this opportunity with brown. So, FM, if you are lurking, know that you are an inspiration and continually on our minds and in our prayers.

Thanks, Bob.

Thank you all my Idiot friends.

Thank you Brown.

Thank you, Lord.

Happy thanksgiving Idiots. BTW LINY I'm the other idiot who you couldn't remember doesn't celebrate thanksgiving in their country - and there's Tummytuck as well.

I was all set to post a wonderfully articulate post to someone but I always kill threads so here I am back at Idiotville where it doesn't matter if you kill it off for a while.

LINY it's funny you say you sounded like a pompous pr**k in your first post because I had the nerve to call my first post "how my BS lifted the fog" and it was posted when I was so thick in the pea soup I'm surprised I could breathe. And that was in February this year.

But there you go. Things do move very fast when they start moving.

I was going to say something in this post that was breathtakingly deep but I've completely forgotten what it was.

., by being here is deep enough. By coming as far as we have, is deep enough. By your actions now, in your M, so desparately trying to rebuild your M and you, is deep enough.
