hi FF

we should start a who did the silliest thing while pregnant thread..LOL

With our second, we were living on a farm and had to use a wood stove for heating and cooking as well as power in case power failed, as it does in the bush

Well I came home from shopping in the nearby town, and put the shopping away. Then being around 4 pm, getting cold & dark I also loaded up the wood store for the night - you just know that on a cold night the power will fail don't you !
Anyway 5 pm comes around, Aussie comes home early, I followed him around as he dropped his boots, uniform etc as he walked.. hey I was only 20 guys - and as we got to the kitchen he went to the fridge to get a beer, and there lo & behold was the nicely stacked jarrah timber for the fire !! he opened the wood store and found the food heh heh , but the wood was so neatly stacked you know...LOL

Hey AW - I've copied the song, but haven't tried it out yet... I can play, or I can sing, but I have a hard time doing both at the same time.... I'm such an idiot with a guitar!

Hey FF - Glad that you joined us! It's fun to let lose and not worry so much about "serious stuff".... So what was your job again???

AW -

Sorry the call scared you. Aussie and the others are in my prayers. I just wish this whole thing was over.

Maybe Idiotville should send out a search party to find Bin Laden. Idiots might be able to find another idiot.

Hey Believer - Believe me, we've got lots of people looking for UBL over here... I wouldn't really call them idiots.... they've all got lots of guns!!!

I keep hoping that they'll catch UBL soon and then the'll let us all go home early!!!

RIF -

Are they still bombing in the caves? I thought that was a good idea. Sooner or later they are going to at least make his life pretty miserable.

They have a huge reward for him. I can't believe someone hasn't told where he is!

Hi Believer - Yeah, the planes take off all the time around here... so I'm sure that we're still finding things to bomb... I like what the "Spooky" guys say... "You can run, but you'll just die tired" .... he he he

I think the biggest "hit" to UBL and AQ was the election on 9 October. Afghanistan is moving towards freedom and UBL and his kind are reduced to hiding in caves on the Pakistani/Afghan border... and they can't do a thing to stop it.

I expect UBL is pretty miserable right about now...

RIF - Hopefully they will find him soon. The Pakistani's are supposed to be looking for him too. Do you think they are really trying?

I'm amazed they can't find him. Must be we have no good spies at all any more. Or perhaps our government lacks the competence to run a good spy outfit. They certainly have the means.

RIF, does anybody think he may have gone into China?

Gray - The reward is something like $25 million. Sooner or later, someone will turn against him.

I haven't heard anyone around here mention China...

Most of the guys think he's up in the mountains between Pakistan & Afghanistan or maybe even in Iran.

AW - Your pg story is hilarious! I'll have to think back through my 3 and remember the things I did. Fortunately(or unfortunately)age seems to be my excuse these days for not remembering anything. LOL

RIF- I am the 411 information lady that doesn't really know the answers. edited to add: But I would be happy to make the answers up!

GC- Wondering what the quote in your sig line is from?

I am learning a lot about Afghanistan from you all. All we seem to hear about is Iraq, not much about Osama Bin Laden these days. Hope they find him soon.

The worst thing with PG is that I wont be able to get my new bathers for this summer, & I was dieting so well, well not eating anyway ha, now shot down in one mad week!!

of course I could go buy it tomorrow and save it for when Aussie gets back, but by then it'll probably be like trying to fit a kilo of cooked rice back into the plastic bag.

hi believer how are you going these days? Sorta surprised myself didn't I?

FF, it's from a Foo Fighters song, "Times Like These". I don't listen to commercial radio much, but I think the tune was kind of a hit this year. I believe Dave Grohl has been through a harsh divorce.

Good morning, Idiots all. So AW, how did the Kangaroo hurling or Pigmy jumping go? heehee

I have some great "pg stupids" stories. I'm not sure what it is...all synapses seem to be firing but they don't hit their target! Okay, so when I was pg with my OS, I got together a load of laundry and set it down, and for like A WEEK I could not find that load of laundry! Where in the world did I set it down? My apartment was small--how could I lose it?? It was in the COAT CLOSET!!! HAHA

When I was pg with my YD, I tripped and hit my head on the dining room table. I didn't fall all the way down, just sort of mellon thumped myself. Well, I was so worried about the baby and making sure that things were okay (they were) that I never even noticed the half inch gash on the back of my head that was bleeding all over. I absolutely PANICKED when I saw blood drops around on the carpet, but I searched and searched and searched and nothing was bleeding. Finally, I decided to start cleaning up the spots (WHERE were they coming from???) and I started to just sweat more than usual. Oh well--no worries it's just a pg "hotflash"...right?? My hair by then was feeling soaked, so I wiped my hand back there and...AAAAAAHHHHH!!! It was ME!!!

(Head wounds bleed like silly!!)

HAHA! I love me.

Would you like me to regal you all day with "pg. stupid" stories?? I probably have 1000!!

I'd like for you two to know that the same mental condition as the pg stupids reoccur when you are 55. Yours are just preparing you for middle age.

RH - I don't participate in the making of deer sausage, but I do know that they mix some pork with it, put it through our big industrial grinder/stuffer and then mix in seasonings. I think they are a pre-mixed batch of spices. Then they stuff them into casings and smoke them in the smokehouse. We keep our meat for several days in ice water in a cooler. (Changing the water and ice, of course) We find that it takes all the wild flavor from the meat. We prefer not to have the wild gamey taste.

Like I said, I don't do the deer, but I participated in MANY hog killings as a child and young adult. We fed them out and then did the entire process ourselves, including the scald, scrape, cutting up, processing, smoking, and finally rendering the lard and cooking down the cracklings. It was a long, hard day in the cold. We haven't done it in 10 years or more, but would if others wanted to do it. The last few years we got together with about 7 other families and everybody helped. We'd process 4 or 5 a day (on Saturday) and the rest the following week. My dad always added sage to his, but didn't like garlic in his sausage. I just remember what hard work it was. But everybody brought covered dish and we feasted at noon. That part was fun.

So, Robby, (when you get back) what are you moving into?? None of my business, just curious. Hope you get your internet back up tomorrow like they said. Meanwhile, we'll talk about you while you're gone.

Must go for a few minutes, might be back in a little while.

Cold is beginning to wear off, and the wine I'm drinking is probably not helping long-term, but short-term... it's working swell.

I'm sweating plan B. Thinking I may actually never hear from the sparrow again. She has cooperated so far... no contact.

Good thing I just opened this bottle. RIF, tell me some of the grunt slang they use over there!

Starz-

ARe you sure its 55? I swear that I am going through it at 43!

Evening (morning)RIF-How are you?

Having a rough time this evening for some reason. I am still going through anxiety and fear of FOM W calling me. I have not heard from her since early last week, but I am still having anxiety attacks. Still afraid to answer my phone at work and home. I did change my cell phone # which bought me 4 days of peace this past weekend. H went out to dinner with his F and his siblings. So glad to have some time to myself.

Soo.. anyone need information (misinformation tonight?) AW- how are you feeling? I remember being drop dead tired every moment of my last pg most likely cuz I was older. Hope you are handling it well.
