Rh raises steer and that's what we're used to now and it IS amazing how much different it tastes! We get our eggs from some Amish folk up the road, and they are much better-tasting, too....and the color is richer....more appealing! We used to have goats, but I have never eaten goat meat....but have had homemade ice cream from their milk and it is AWESOME! RH's family used to have a lamb roast every Memorial Day when his dad was still alive....I miss that...we've had one here and there over the past 12 years, and that's yummy. RH mixes up some barbeque sauce with a "secret ingerdient".....and the lamb is home-grown, too.
I'm a city girl, but I have come to love living in the country with so much space around me! Still not used to going so far for shopping, though.

NOW - Yep, I forgot the eggs. We had Easter chicks when my kids were young, that grew up and lived in the yard. When it was time for breakfast the kids would go look for eggs, and they were YUMMY.

YL, good to hear from you again! Thanks for the encouragement. Last week/this weekend has been real tough; this week will be tough at work. (Taking off next week, so, basically, three weeks into one. RRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!) But, maybe it'll be good--keep my mind occupied from other things. I really don't mind the R talks--actually, like them now--gives us hope and goals and we're doing it together. It's the A talks that are getting tougher. I know brown has to work through it her own way, and I certainly have to keep her safe and secure, but, it came outta nowhere on Saturday. BUT, my doing--my fault--and I will only try--no, i will only make her feel safe again. My sons? We'll see how the next few days go--there may be some light shining--at least from my older son. My younger one I think just doesn't give a rat's [censored] about anything but himself. I/brown will keep you all updated. I don't believe you guys. I was lurking yesterday evening and then came back this morning and there are pages and pages and pages to read. Jelly, say it isn't so. I haven't checked my e-mail and I'm just out the door on the way to work so I'll have to check in later. You guys will be fine - just like we will be. Must be something in the air at the moment cos we had a talk the other night as well and that's when you find out that even though we never mention it any more - it's always there just below the surface bubbling away. Gotta get goin'...apparently what brown and I thought would happen, has, just only 1 1/2 later. Looks like I'll have to bring the baby and do the "exchange" at work as noone is home to watch her. (OS had to go do "errnads." YS left about 1/2 hour ago--didn't stop in or anything.) Whatever.
