Good Morning Idiotville!!
A good friend of mine is flying me to Ohio for a New Years party. I'll be leaving this afternoon but I'll check in when/if I can.

Morning I'ville. I can't watch TV anymore right now. It is too painful. But, it sure puts our tragedies into perspective, doesn't it? At least we are here to fight another day.
It doubly scared me 'cause when WH was at sea, his ship had to outrun 2 tsunamis this summer. One a Category 3 another a category 5 - heading toward each other. I remember the terror of that. And no way to contact the ship and the satellite was down. Even the belts that strapped the crew in wasn't enough. No one slept in their racks for 3 or 4 days. It was in a chair or not at all. And they only got caught in the tail end of it!
Let's change the subject, please. Or at least try. Too much tragedy.

Lets get back Idiocy as we should I agree.....real world s bad enough out there right now.
The CIA had an opening for an assassin. After all of the background checks, interviews, and testing were done there were three finalists — two men and one woman. For the final test, the CIA agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun. “We must know that you will follow your instructions, no matter what the circumstances. Inside this room you will find your wife sitting in a chair. You have to kill her.†The first man said.“You can’t be serious. I could never shoot my wife,â€
The agent replies, “Then you’re not the right man for this job."
The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about five minutes. Then the agent came out with tears in his eyes. “I tried, but I can’t kill my wife.†The agent replies, “You don’t have what it takes. Take your wife and go home.â€
Finally, it was the woman’s turn. Only she was told to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard, one shot after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman. She wiped the sweat from her brow and said, “You guys didn’t tell me the gun was loaded with blanks. So I had to beat him to death with the chair.â€

morning Iville,
Wow, no idiocy this morning (except for that joke A2 groan) so much sadness.
The paper hear day before yesterday had a photo on the cover of bodies spread out to be identified. Most were covered but in the middle lay a baby of about 18 months uncovered and sweet as can be. After that I decided I can't read and watch about this tragedy that much. I sent a donation to the red cross yesterday. There just isn't much we can do and it is a very helpless feeling. BTW, I saw TT posting this week. I think she is ok. Have not seen anyname though.
We have some friends from church that live in Sri Lanka. No idea if they survived.
Anyway, I have to run to take DS to therapy this morning. Big hugs to you all. {{{{Iville}}}}
A2 hug that woman of yours for me.

Morning A2 and Robby. Are we the only ones up? It is 0620 here. A2 it is Thursday Dec 30/04. You are next day, right?
I have had my morning coffee. Well 4 cups worth and packed a couple of more boxes to get rady for my move. Then off to work. Went to work after 6 days to find out the other woman was "laid off" and I resigned yesterday as well. Boss unserstood my reasons but is sorry I have to go. He said I could change from part-time to full-time until I leave on the 13th of January. Nice of him. It is so scary not to have a job. THere is no way of knowing if WH will support me without me having to go to his command again. Sigh. Anyway who has some funny jokes?
A2 no CIA jokes. That woman is way too close to being me. hehehe VERY determined.
Robby are you a computer geek? You have so many links in your posts. Do you have the biggest bookmark library in the world or what?

Morning all. It's my baby girl's first birthday today! How the heck did that happen so fast?
No big plans for New Year's here. I usually stay home for it. I always called it Amateur Night. Too many people out there who just don't know the right way to party.

Yep
Dec 30 Thursday evening & its 11.08pm here nearly one day left.........probably have a New Year Party here or at the dogs ......
We still have over 1000 Australians missing in Thailand so I reckon we can expect a lot more...and I've been put on notice late this afternoon to go to Thailand if we get a request for aid to reassert order in the areas. Lots of looting starting apparently. Worked with their Royal Marines & Special Forces before for some time in earlier years can't see them letting me go with a crook leg unless its liaison with their CIC - went to school with him - and frankly seen enough dead people for a while. Starting to get a bit too blaise about it . doesn't affect me much at all anymore
