I agree that the bathroom story was great, but it was not a "double" as it was one continuous act.
We have high standards here in Idiotville!!

quote:
WW is the one that is placing me in the middle of the Daytona 500. I want a pit stop so badly I can't stand it.

Geez dude. Who is SHE to be calling all the shots? Take your pit stop. We all have to take a break, and since SHE'S not taking care of YOU, you need to step up and take care of yourself. Believe me...no one else is gonna. Take those reins and wheel that stage coach over to the Rest Area.
I was PISSED when I figured out Nio wasn't taking care of me and didn't notice I was on overload. I don't mean that fun pissed that AW, A2, Jen and Bob talk about I mean severly hot-under-the-collar-fixin'-ta-explode-pissed! I was HIGHLY IRATE once I got on anti-d's and figured out that rat-you-know-what wasn't playing in my sandbox even after all the h-e-double-hockey-sticks he put me through. But someone had to take care of ME! So I did!
Your ww isn't gonna make a pit stop till she slams into a wall. You gotta do it for yourself and your babies.
Take our Bob for example....dang! That boy was a puddle when he came here. I remember a midnight jaunt across a field in his car....but you know what he did? He pulled himself up, pulled his kids up, and BECAME A BEACON to his dearling Squiddy. He HAD to do it for himself. Squids wasn't doing it. He took his kids bowling, he took them for walks, and tho she didn't go with them, he offered her the opportunity to go. So she sat, and she, sat, and she sat, sat, sat, sat. And she saw that Bob wasn't a puddleglumkins, that he was making LIFE happen for his kids, and that life was offered to her! IT TOOK TIME - lots of it. It took the patience of Job (honestly, I don't know how he did it sometimes), and it took faith.
My dear Jen told me Monday that she thinks that Nio'll come around. I hope so. Being a beacon sometimes hoovers big time. I've been doing this a depressingly long time, but in my defense I didn't find this site till way after dday. I am beginning to see a light through the fog. Sometimes the light is just the knowledge that I'll be okay regardless (I would've never thought that), but a lot of the time now it's the light of a healing marriage.

Welcome to I-ville. Can you clarify something for me? As part of your promise to yourself, was the one marriage really just a promise that you would never step out or did that also include the possibility that if your W stepped out on you, you would never remarry?
I only ask because that may make a difference in how you should look at this. However, I also agree with the others on here that it is way too early to even be looking that far ahead. All it will do is depress yourself and you've got enough to think about without that. As Deal said, work on yourself, be there for your kids and offer the opportunity to join you to your WW. That's all you can do right now (besides Plan A'ing her). Good luck!

Recovering H: The promise was regardless of the reason. I know it may sound too restrictive, but that is what I promised.
I agree it is way too soon, I'm just trying to deal emotionally with the train wreck I am strapped to right now.

Kimmy, thats about the best summary of my last six months I could imagine. Getting on with a happy life, offering to include misery-@rse if she wants, but go doing it anyway until she felt like not sulking and not banging OM any more.
How ON EARTH did I manage that through all that poison ? Man I look back now....
Well, no need to look back now is there

LINY,
Is that what the girl's version says? I don't have that one yet.
I'm so please when I recognized the reference to literature. I feel so cultured.

Why does children's literature seem SO appropriate here?

Hey idiots, help me name my band's album.
The album is a big backlog of stuff we've been playing for years. It's a bit of a drag in that sense, because you always like your new stuff best, and the old stuff has lost most of its charm.
Anyway, some of the songs have a "swampy" feel to them, so the singer and I want to call it "Swampy". But the drummer and bass player, who have different sensibilities, want to call it "Boats in the Living Room", which is a line from one of our songs about a stoner who tells the same story over and over.
I think BITLR is too cutesy. The guys just don't seem to get it.
The bass player, seeking a compromise, came up with "Wild Wings and Swampy Things", which is the name of some kind of wildlife refuge in Australia. Also too cutesy for me.
Any thoughts? That song, by the way, about the stoner, is called "Tortoise".
