Great topic! Very inspiring!

I recently ordered a digital camera - before H announced he wanted a D - and I had decided to return it. But, after the big announcement, I decided to KEEP it instead. I used to love photography, but haven't done any in years. Now I'm going to do that again. I may also return to my woodworking hobby (also abandoned years ago) and start using my scroll saw again.

And of course keep training my dogs. One of my new neighbors wants me to help him teach his dog to do agility - since I've been doing this for years now and he has a great dog, it should be a piece of cake.

You have all inspired me to bake bread and decorate my new house also. I can't wait to get started!

(not really, I know you're not)...but have you read Ivory's recent thread about the pain predators (vampires) that can "smell" the pain and not only expolit it, but feed off of it?

Seriously, people scare the beejeebers out of me right now. Isn't that sad? The worst - through all this, family and friends have shown less than supportive colors for me (even tho, I'm certain they had the best of intentions), and wound up doing a lot of damage to my psyche/trust - so much so, I don't have anyone to feel comfortable with.

Someone tell me that a realative "comfort zone" grows back someday...you know, like a lizard's tail that's been pulled off...it regenerates with lots of care....

DV, I rarely leave home without the digital I bought last year. I keep a cheap little plastic tripod in my car, and I'm ready for anything.

Dani, financial uncertainty is a big issue for me too. I think I should supplement my income. I live near a high school, and was thinking of finding out if they have any kind of program for private tutors. I hear you can make a few extra bucks pretty easily as a math or science tutor.

And I could always give guitar lessons!
