There is a great one by Sheryl Crow. It called The First Cut Is The Deepest It made me cry everytime I heard it during the A, and still makes me a little sad when I hear it today. If you are thinking about moving on, but something is holding you back- this song really says it.
THE FIRST CUT IS THE DEEPEST (Cat Stevens)
I would have given you all of my heart But there's someone who's torn it apart And she's taken just all that I had But if you want I'll try to love again Baby I'll try to love again but I know
The first cut is the deepest Baby I know the first cut is the deepest But when it come to being lucky she's cursed When it come to loving me she's the worst I still want you by my side Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried And I'm sure going to give you a try And if you want I'll try to love again Baby I'll try to love again but I know
The first cut is the deepest Baby I know the first cut is the deepest But when it come to being lucky she's cursed When it come to loving me she's the worst
I still want you by my side Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried But I'm sure gonna give you a try 'cause if you want I'll try to love again Baby I'll try to love again but I know
The first cut is the deepest Baby I know the first cut is the deepest When it come to being lucky she's cursed When it come to loving me she's the worst

I used this in my sig line once.
"Run On" - Moby
"Lord God Almighty let me tell the news My head got wet in midnight dew Great God I been down on my bended knees Talking to a man from Galilee Michael spoke and he sound so sweet I thought I heard the shuffle of angels' feet He put one hand upon my head Great God Almighty let me tell you what He said
'Go tell that lonesome liar Go tell that midnight rider Tell the gamblin', ramblin' backslider Tell them God Almighty gonna cut 'em down'
You might run on for a long time Run on, ducking and dodging Run on, children, for a long time Let me tell you God Almighty gonna cut you down
You might throw your rock, hide your head Work in the dark with your fellow men Sure as God made you rich and poor You're gonna reap just what you sow
'Go tell that lonesome liar Go tell that midnight rider Tell the gamblin', ramblin' backslider Tell them God Almighty gonna cut 'em down'
You might run on for a long time Run on, ducking and dodging Run on, children, for a long time Let me tell you God Almighty gonna cut you down
Some people go to church just to signify Trying to make a date with the neighbor's wife Brother let me tell you just as sure as you're born You better leave that woman alone
'Go tell that lonesome liar Go tell that midnight rider Tell the gamblin', ramblin' backslider Tell them God Almighty gonna cut 'em down'
You might run on for a long time Run on, ducking and dodging Run on, children, for a long time Let me tell you God Almighty gonna cut you down"

Randy Travis On The Other Hand
On one hand I count the reasons I could stay with you And hold you close to me, all night long. So many lover's games I could play with you and on that hand I see no reason why it's wrong
Chorus: But on the other hand, There's a golden band To remind of someone who would not understand On one hand I could stay and be your loving man But the reason I must go is on the other hand
In your arms I feel the passion, I thought had died When I looked into your eyes I found myself When I first kissed your lips I felt so alive I've got to hand it to you girl, you're something else
Repeat Chorus

I like this one from Gretchen Wilson: Homewrecker
Well you're a real hot cookie with a new hairdo Your high heel boots and your credit card Long legs and a mini skirt Yeah you know what works and you work it hard You smile like such a lady innocent and sweet You drive the men folk crazy, But any girl can see You're just a
[CHORUS]
Homewrecker I know what you're doin' You think you're gonna ruin what I got, But you're not Yeah you little go getter I'll teach you a lesson If you get to messin' with my man You don't stand a chance No, you're just a homewrecker
I'm sure you waited for a long, long time To find a man like mine But honey you're too late So before you go and make your move Maybe me and you should get a few things straight There's two ways we can do this I'll let you decide You can take it somewhere else or we can take it outside you little
[REPEAT CHORUS]
Now honey I'm a Christian, But if you keep it up I'm gonna go to kickin' your pretty little butt Is that clear enough yeah, you little

Another one from Gretchen Wilson; I USED to think that my WH would fit this song, but no more.
"When I Think About Cheatin'"
I've never done anything That would ever bring a tear to your eye I've never crossed the line or needed an alibi to cover up a lie But darling i'll admit They're been times when i could have The thing that kept me strong Is the one thing that is always on My mind
[Chorus]
When I think about cheatin' I just think about you leavin' And how my world would fall to pieces If I tossed your love away Even when i'm tempted by some stranger Oh there's never any danger I just think about you leavin' When I think about cheatin'
There was a time in Abilene When he said all the things I wanted to hear It was hard to turn him down Between the champaigne and the sound of whispers in my ear But it just took one two-step with someone and I was missing you He never had the chance cause I broke up the dance Before the song was through

One more from the Dixie Chicks: You Were Mine
I can't find a reason to let go Even though you've found a new love And she's what your dreams are made of I can't find a reason to hang on What went wrong can be forgiven Without you it ain't worth livin' alone
Chorus: Sometimes I wake up crying at night And sometimes I scream out your name What right does she have to take you away When for so long you were mine
I took out all the pictures of Our wedding day It was a time of love and laughter Happy ever after But even those old pictures have Begun to fade Please tell me she's not real And that you're really comin' home to stay
Chorus
I can give you two good reasons To show how you love's not blind He's two and she's four and you know They adore you So how can I tell them you've changed Your mind
Chorus

Another Dixie Chicks: Once You've Loved Somebody
I should go out tonight Get on with my life Break these chains of solitude With a little luck and a little help I might even find myself In the arms of someone new
Chorus: Once you've loved somebody It ain't that easy to do Once you've loved somebody Like I loved you
Look what you've gone and done You've ruined everything for anyone Who tries to steal this heart away I can't get you off of my mind I've tried to tell myself a million times A little time is all it takes
Chorus
I gave you everything that I had to give I don't know if I can go that far again
Chorus (2 x's)

Janis Joplin: TO Love Somebody
There’s a light, certain kinda light, Never ever, never shone on me, no, no. Honey, I want, I want my whole life To be lived with you, babe, That’s what I want oh, was to be Living and loving you.
There’s a way, oh everybody say You can do anything, every thing yeah. But what good, what good, Honey, what good could it ever bring ‘Cause I ain’t got you with my love And I can’t find you babe, no I can’t.
You don’t know, you don’t know what it’s like, No you don’t, honey no you don’t know, You don’t know what it’s like To love anybody. Oh honey, I wanna talk about love And trying to hold somebody The way I love you babe, And I’ve been loving you babe.
In my brain, oh I can see your face again, I know my frame of mind, yeah. But nobody, nobody has to ever be so blind, Honey, like I did, I know I was blind, Honey, I tell you that I was, I was very, very blind. Oh but I’m just a girl, Can’t you just take a look at me and tell, Tell that I live, honey I live and I breathe for you, Don’t you know I do!
But what good, what good, Honey, what good could ever do ‘Cause I ain’t got you, that’s all I’ve ever wanted, And I ain’t got you, babe, oh but I’ve been looking ’round. But you don’t know, you don’t know what it’s like, No you don’t, no, no, no, you don’t know, Honey, you don’t know what it’s like Oh to love anybody. Oh honey I wanna talk about Trying to hold somebody when you’re lonely The way I loved you, baby, And I just want you to know I tried.
Oh I know that there’s a way ‘Cause everybody came to me one time and said, “Honey, you can do anything, Every little thing,#148; and I think I can. Oh, but what good, what good, Honey, what awfully good can it ever, ever bring, ‘Cause I can’t find you with my love, And I can’t find you babe, oh anywhere.
Oh, but you don’t know, You don’t know what it’s like, No you don’t and you never ever, ever did. You don’t know, honey, You don’t know what it’s like Oh to love anybody. Oh honey I wanna talk about trying to hold you.
Oh baby, baby, baby, yeah, But you don’t know, You don’t know what it’s like, And you never ever, ever did, I said I tried to throw my love around you And I tried to help you darling. But you never ever, no you never ever, No you never ever, no you never ever, I know that you know that No you never ever, ever, ever, Oh let me throw my love, Throw my love all around you, yeah

Stormy Weather
Don’t know why there’s no sun up in the sky Stormy weather Since my man and I ain’t together, Keeps rainin’ all the time
Life is bare, gloom and mis’ry everywhere Stormy weather Just can’t get my poorself together, I’m weary all the time So weary all the time When he went away the blues walked in and met me. If he stays away old rockin’ chair will get me.
All I do is pray the lord above will let me walk in the sun once more. Can’t go on, ev’ry thing I had is gone Stormy weather
Since my man and I ain’t together, Keeps rainin’ all the time

Janis, again: Maybe
Maybe Oh if I could pray and I try, dear, You might come back home, home to me.
Maybe Whoa, if I could ever hold your little hand Oh you might understand. Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, yeah.
Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe dear I guess I might have done something wrong, Honey I’d be glad to admit it. Oh, come on home to me! Honey maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe yeah.
Well I know that it just doesn’t ever seem to matter, baby, Oh honey, when I go out or what I’m trying to do, Can’t you see I’m still left here And I’m holding on in needing you.
Please, please, please, please, Oh won’t you reconsider babe. Now come on, I said come back, Won’t you come back to me!
Maybe dear, oh maybe, maybe, maybe, Let me help you show me how. Honey, maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, Maybe, maybe, maybe, yeah, Maybe, maybe, maybe, yeah. Ooh!

Etta James: Trust Me
Trust in me in all you do Have the faith I have in you Love will see us through If only you trust in me Why don't you, you trust me
Come to me when things go wrong Cling to me Daddy, oh yeah, and I'll be strong We can get along, we can get along Oh, if only you trust in me
While there's a moon, a moon on high While there are birds, birds to fly While there is you, you and I I can be sure that I love you
Oh, stand beside me, stand beside me all the while Come on Daddy, face the future, why don't you smile Trust in me and I'll be worthy of you
Oh yeah, yeah, why don't you, you trust in me in all you do And have the faith I, I have in you Oh, and love will see us through If only you trust in me Yeah, yeah, yeah
Why don't you, you come to me when things go wrong Cling to me and, whoa, and I'll be strong We can get along, we can get along Oh, if only you trust in me
