Is it just me or is there some link to the following characetrisitics and Affairs?:
Hunting Bowling leagues Military enlistment Blue collar work (not a judgement) Pick up trucks Alcohol NOT steady employment
This is by NO means a judgement againt these characterisitcs, but it just *seems*** on here that at least on this MB, most affairs reported will have at least 3 of these characterisitcs.
This is probably a dumb post, so ignore it. I should probably delete it as it is just gonna ruffle feathers. If you want me to delete it, please say so.

Why do I know that I am gonna regret this post.

Put me down for Military Enlistment and NOT steady Employment ( When I am working I make about 55k a yr ) Usually out of work three to four months out of the year. Not proud and looking into what causes me this issue.
While serving my country I never missed a day, Unless wounded of course.
WW is now on day 28 of NC, Still no Commitment on M But hell gotta take it one day at a time, Right

Okay I agree. My H alone bowls, hunts, has a truck- so there you go- three. However I would add resturant workers (read my post from LIT to better understand that one) gamblers, and cocky. Also those with a high demand for control- or maybe that is just my H, one never knows.
I never put two and two together before. I think it is a good post. What other tell tale signs are there?

This was a dum post in retrospect. Do you ever do something or say something and then realize.........Uggh why did I say this? This is one of those situatiuons. I will end up deleting this post probably.

Lemonman, Stop putting yourself down. There is nothing wrong with the post, it may be an eye opener for some. No one is perfect. No reason to delete, besides, others have posted now, Justus or someone would have to. However thinking about it he is a friend now a days huh

Yes and no, lemonman. My husband is a commissioned officer, military academy educated and a pilot..so he is military..but that's the only characteristic he really fits in your list.
Hunting-->Most likely recreational time spent away from spouse, taking away from recreational companionship (which, btw, is IMO an extremely important EN for both partners and is often the one most neglected).
Bowling leagues-->Same as for hunting..with the additional aspect of triumphs of winning or disappointments with losing that you are sharing with someone other than your spouse
Military enlistment-->a LOT of time spent apart, and much of it with those of the opposite sex. Partying is the norm at port calls. Add to this the stress of moving (which is HUGE) very often, having to make new friends all the time...extra financial burdens of both moving and maybe relocating to a high-priced area where your pay just can't handle it...and for the dependent spouse...despression easily sets in when you cannot go to school or employment is difficult to find. Military is NOT conducive to a good marriage. There are people who make it through...but it's a tough journey.
Blue collar work (not a judgement) No opinion on this.
Pick up trucks lol...huh?
Alcohol--> Pretty obvious.
NOT steady employment

I must say, for all of the grief I get here for posting my opinions, this thread sure picked up steam. For the record, I think maddyK's post sume it up best:

Well, that was my rambling thought for the day. PLEASE do not lace me with a 10 paragraph post about the principles of marriage building and Harley this and that...it is not worth your time. I don't really care to read it. This was a post that generated some discussion and that is all, it was not meant to start a marriage building war.

How about medical, there are 3 recent situations where the WS is involved in medical field. I'm guessing it's just because it's a large field and women and men work closely together...

HEY!!! I bowl with the girls...once a week..... atleast I think we bowl...
every so often one of us gets up and throws an at least 10 pound round object in a certain direction...
Louise is the only one that drinks she sneaks gin into her own tonic she brings.... we all know..
and as I remind Mr. Ark every so often..bowling with the girls is way cheaper than therapy....so usually he kisses me before I head out...and says ... "good luck dear, bowl well...."
just ask and I can dig up the watch I got from the sanction bowling association... for the 270 game I bowled....it's real nice.......somewhere in my jewelery stand...next to all those diamonds....
wait a minute...let me see that list again...
pick up trucks???? pick up trucks?????... we used to have a perrty red pick up truck..five speed...it was a dandy...ford, full bed or some type of terminology like that...
and while I don't hunt...I like nothing more than cracking a BEER!!! while tossing a hooked worm in to a bass-hole....
oh MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! somebody save me from me....
I miss my truck...... (only car we ever owned where I could sit right next to hubby)
I love beer, bowling.... not hunting...but fishing any day...
help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might be at high risk...
ARKKKKKKK^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
ps we could vote to let men in our little girls night out...but believe me the iniation rite is brutal...
