Hello BHINWI...I just read the message you wrote on Caren's thread and I am sitting here crying. I am sure FEELING your pain.
To think of you sitting there sobbing just breaks my heart.
I heard Christopher Reeve's wife talking On Oprah and she said when the grief sweeps over her, she just lets it....and then it passes, she shakes herself off, smiles and goes on...It sounds like that is exactly what you are doing.
Thank God those horrible sorrowful feelings are NOT as intense ALL THE TIME....That knot in your stomach actually DOES GO AWAY...It just takes TIME which leads eventually to acceptance of whatever happens.
My young daughter lost her husband last summer in a car accident, leaving her with 3 little children. (The youngest a 2 month old baby) and I see such healing in these past 10 months...I see her smile...her kids are her life right now.
I think she is in the place we all have to get to in our lives no matter what the situation.
"Sometimes there is nothing we can do but go on with our lives the best we can."
I hope everything works out for you in your marriage...and remember, BHINWI, no matter what, everything will be OK...you have got to believe that.
Sincerely, Julie <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
This was the post I was referring to:
"To recover, I do two things:
1. I force myself to do things; exercise, walk, bike, go out, have company over, anything to get my mind off of it.
2. I stop, take some time alone, and absorb the pain. I think about the pain and let it in and accept it. I tell me the pain is visiting me for a while but will get tired of me and leave. During this time, I usually sob like a baby. I am a 43 year old man that has always be a rock and I sob."
