Thanks, Mimi...

I'm really feeling much better now, last week was kind of really hard for me. I don't really know why, but I'm feeling much better now.

I'm beginning to realize that my health has deteriotated significantly in the past year as I've not disciplined myself to stay in shape. I know that adds to my mental fatigue as well, and I don't like the feeling.

I am so glad they have opened this small Y. I just hope it doesn't get crowded the longer it's open.

I hope all is well with you and H, and things are improving with YS. Your Mom doing okay?

BTW - I'm not through with the conversation on your other thread yet. I know that most folks make "quick" judgements about such things, but I tend to ponder and think for a long time. I was thinking about that subject last night while I was driving home from church.

It seems that occassionally God will bring some subject into my life and just not let me get away from it. I could relate several instances where it was like I was stuck on a suject, and only much later did it became obvious to me why that was necessary.

Right now, I'm getting hit with the subject of forgiveness and grace from a lot of different directions.

I copied some of FH's comments from your other thread and e-mailed to the kids and asked for their comments. They are a bit more theologically knowledgeable than am I.

Anyway, thanks for asking about me.

I've been soo busy at work this week and haven't gotten back to my reading which I regret..

Keep joining in with the discussion. I really enjoy that...I learn so much from my MB FAMILY...

Again, I am so happy that you found the Y. What a blessing for you!!

I continue to work out about 5 times a week. I think I use your same weight system 2 to 3 times a week.. I will check on the name today. I also do 30 to 45 minutes of cardio. I don't really enjoy it. I feel that I have to do it, not only to maintain my GODDESS FIGURE but also for HEALTH REASONS....We're not getting any younger....

So again this sounds GREAT!!!

My H and I are doing great...H continues to work on his relationship with HIS SONS..

This seems like a MIRACLE..GOD IS GOOD....

Good Morning to all –

Let me start by saying that it is a beautiful day in Georgia! Leaves are falling, the weather is nice and cool. One year ago, I was in Vancouver enjoying the vacation from h*11. My…my, what a change a year can make!!

I started Friday morning by going to the Y and having my first workout in a long time. It really did feel good, but I kind of took it easy. I stood on the scales and was surprised (and shocked) to see that I had gained 35 pounds since my last work out. That is totally unacceptable, I know that I am a walking risk for a stroke or heart attack. I am really excited about getting back into a work out routine and getting this extra weight off of me.

I put in a long hard day of work at church getting ready for the yard sale. It is just incredible to me how one church can come up with this much “stuff” every 6 months.

Friday night the volunteers got to shop and I got some great bargains. One is a complete set of PVC patio furniture (4 chairs, table, 2 lounge chairs) for $13.00. Also, I got a huge fountain that will look great on the deck for $10.00. I’ll have to post some pictures of this all later. Oh….Jeb’s favorite yard sale find is a painted Schnauzer statute. I’ve got it laying next to the bridge to keep a constant vigil over the deck.

The church raised $15,000 for mission efforts at the sale. Additionally, the church has been supporting 9 local families that have relocated here from N.O. that have lost everything in the hurricane. These families were allowed 1st access to the yard sale Friday evening (even before the volunteers) and they were given anything they could use. We were able to COMPLETELY furnish 9 homes with appliances, furniture, linens, cookware, etc. Additionally, one of the families was given a car.

At the end of the sale we had 280 stuffed animals left over. The church has donated those for us to take back over to the children’s home when we go back over before Christmas. I was talking to one of the trips’ planners Sunday and I understand we are going to try to go back over either the 1st or 2nd week of December and take Christmas presents.

One of my ½ brothers and his wife was in town this weekend and staying with my parents. I went over there Sunday for lunch and visited for while. It was nice to see him again as I’ve not seen him in a couple of years. In one way, it was painful because W and I lived in the same town with him when we first married and we spent a lot of time together. He always really liked W, and we were all very close at that time. He didn’t ask and we didn’t get a chance to talk (alone), but I’m sure my Mom gave him her version of the whole sordid mess.

Late yesterday afternoon I did another CASA visit. I have a new moniker. One of the kids, trying to get my attention, called me “CASA MAN”. (I kinda like that, really). I'm not going into details her about this family, but let me say that my first experience with a Meth user is eye-openning. If any of you EVER are tempted to try it, don't. Alcohol and cocaine are tame compared to meth (at least from my perspective).

Back to the workout stuff. I’ve got my first appointment with the PT this afternoon at 4:30. However, I got to work this morning and see that I’ve been scheduled to be in a meeting at 4:30. I’m going to call and see if I can change the appointment to tomorrow. I can go before pottery, especially since the Y is only about 3 blocks from the pottery studio.

There has been no communication with WW at all. I talked to #2S yesterday and he said he talked to her about a week ago. He said everything seemed to be just fine with her like there’s nothing at all going on.

GOOD MORNING, MIMI…..

Georgia

Hi CSue and Mimi..

I had a meeting that I had to take part in this afternoon, PT has been rescheduled for 5:00 tomorrow.

I'm going to go tonight and work out after I do some stuff at home.

I've got to stop by the cleaners and pick up my latest batch of freshly pressed E.B. shirts.

Have a good evening.

Hi GG,
I was in another city recently and I saw an E.B. store. I thought of you and I laughed out loud. Funny how our minds work.

Wishing you the best.

Hi SS -

Sadly, our local E.B. closed several years ago. I have to stop at various stores when I'm traveling to get my "fix". I like the outlet stores. And...I recently ordered some shorts from their outlet web-site.

GOOD MORNING, MIMI....

This is going to be a good evening.

This afternoon @ 5:00 is my first session with the P/T. I'm excited about that.

Then, at 7:00 is pottery and tonight is Raku night. The last night of each 8 week session we fire up the outdoor gas-fired kiln and glaze some pottery with raku glaze. I've got several pieces I've been saving for tonight.

We all bring snacks and drinks (alcoholic & non) and make a party out of it. It usually last until 10:00 or 11:00 because it takes so long to raku all the stuff.

Anyway, a good evening to all.

Good Morning to all -

Yesterday I was a bit under the weather and didn't work, some sort of stomach thing.

Tuesday night was undoubleably the most fun I've had at any pottery class. We were there until 11:45 PM. It was a nice cool night so standing around by the outdoor kilns felt really good. We all just had a great time sitting around and acting like little kids with each other. Hard to believe that this is a class of grown ups behaving this way. I had 3 pieces that I had been saving to Raku and they all turned out great. We are skipping next Tuesday night (which is good, because that's my next home Bible study), then having a 4 week session.

Before pottery Tuesday I met with the trainer and got all set up on my exercise program. It feels really good to be working out again and I'm looking forward to some positive progress in this area. I feel so lethargic and overweight, not good. My body fat is 30.4% and my BMI is 32.5. Ugh...

Anyway, all is well here in Georgia. I have had no further contact with WW and our court date is one week from tomorrow. I don't know what she's thinking, but she had indicated that she wanted to reach an agreement before going back to court. It would seem wise for her to reply to my offer so we could work that out. Oh well..

GOOD MORNING, MIMI.....

Hi, FGG. I just couldn't resist poppoing in to say that yes, I so agree that Vancouver is beautiful. I live here! And 2010 Winter Olympics will be held here, too. The rooms at Whistler are being booked already.

FGG, sometimes the worst memories acan be excised by revisiting them. KWIM? And if you ever decide that you want a tour from a Vancouverite, I am so there! Goes for anyone that wants to see the most beautiful city in the world in my humble opinion.

Hi fightingalone - During my vacation from h*11 in Vancouver last year, we went to Whistler. No doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, the circumstances were horrible but I enjoyed the scenery. I shudder to remember this now, a day trip with WW, OM, & OMW. That was a miserable day.

Thanks for the invite. I don't know what KWIM means, can you help me out with that?

Oh, okay.

I don't really know how I would feel about being back in Vancouver. I would love to see more of the city, but would it just bring back more memories? I dunno.

IMO, Vancouver and San Francisco are tied as the most beautiful places I have been. Have you been to SF?

Yes, I was there once. In 1970 or 1971. It reminded me very much of Vancouver. Even that infamous hill.

Yep, I think both cities beauty is in no small part due to their bay bridges (Golden Gate & Lions Gate).

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in North Vancouver (WW and OM chose it because it was close to his house). That is a wonderful hotel and very moderately priced.

Anyway, maybe someday I'll be able to return there without thinking of OM and just enjoy the place.

FGG,

Wherever you go, I hope you take Jeb! We've taken our dog with us for the last several years, but we camp alot so it's not a problem. We stay in hotels every so often and we're finding more and more allow pets these days!

Last summer as we traveled through California, we spent the last day in Disneyland. Their pet accommodations are wonderful, and we even gave Pete his own bed to sleep with. He couldn't have had it better, at least in our opinion.

When we got back to pick him up at the end of the day the poor darling had been a nervous wreck the entire time. He shredded and I mean SHREDDED his bed to pieces, shredded his cardboard dog food bowl and was wet from all the water spilled. He was panting frantically...Sheesh!!! What a nut!

We'll have to have a plan b should we go to Disneyland anytime soon!

Hi CSue -

With the cooler evenings, I've been letting Jeb go with me a lot more even around town. He loves it and will just lay down and wait on me with no complaints.

We had an experience similar to yours at Six Flags (GA). Years ago, we had a Yorkie and boarded him in the Six Flags kennel, which is right under a loop on the Mind Bender roller coaster. When we got back, he had torn up his bed and was soaked from his water bowl. He normally was very docile.

Anyway, Jeb loves to travel and he goes with me whenever I can take him.
