StrongFoundation -

Thanks for the post..I got a real chuckle out of it. That is certainly a ...uh..."unusual" car all right!! Kind cute though!

Mine may be older than you think. It's a 1998 900SE Turbo. However, it's a one owner with 73K miles, and it's automatic, by the way. It is very obvious to me that it is better built and more solid than the T-Bird (sorry Ford fans), but it definitely lacks the power of the Ford V-8 and that low "rumble" when you start it up. (Okay, it's a guy thing).

It's got to go back to the shop this week for new tires and a new convertible top motor (these things were negotiated during the sale), so I'll be without it again for a day or two.

Jeb is still a bit unsure of it. I'm anxious to take him for a ride with the top down.

er...the ~~~~~~~ R U M B L E ~~~~~~ is not just a guy thing....I much prefer meaty sounding cars. Our cars in the UK tend not to be as growling as yours but have you heard a TVR?? Really uncomfortable on the road apparently but the sound....wow. I've only sat in one mind you not actually driven one.

I now have a Harley having passed my bike test last year, which was a dream of mine to do before I was 40....although age has made me a wuz and I haven't ridden much....I do however love the sound. I grew up with loud cars and old bikes my Dad scrambled on.

I can't wait to see photo's of Jeb with Doggles on...LOL <<<<----- good depiction of Jeb wearing Doggles with the top down?

That old Saab must have been a '76 not a '96. That is one classic little car alright.

Okay, Strong...maybe the "rumble" isn't a guy thing, after all. (I like the depiction of Jeb with doggles).

I would like to see that Seinfeld. If anyone sees it coming on whatever network shows reruns, let me know. I'd like to record it.

I kinda thought that might be model, but I wasn't sure.

I haven't name mine except to refer to it as a "Geek Mobile".

BTW - Landscape class was great today. A very structured and orderly discussion on DRAINAGE!! More on the same topic tomorrow. This is FUN!!

It's 71 deg (F) outside. If I wasn't having problems with the top motor, I'd be going ...well...with the top down today.

Are you OK?

Are you sure you're not losing it?

Good Morning all -

No Mimi, I'm not sure at all I'm not "losing it"! LOL....However, I really am enjoying my landscape class. It's a real break from the type of world that I work in daily, and I can see where I may enjoy doing that sort of thing someday. The instructor does a great job teach / entertaining all at the same time.

It was also nice to get back to pottery last night. I love having my hands in clay and shaping things on the wheel. I made a really cool little thing (urn maybe?) last night.

And...I took Jeb for his first ride with the top down last night. I think he liked it, but his moustache kept blowing straight up into his face. A couple of times he used his paw to try to push it back down. We've got to come up with some way to solve that problem.

Mimi, I've been thinking about your comments about your kids and their relationship their Dad. I know this must be terribly troubling for you, and I'm not sure that "trying to let it go" is the way to deal with it. Truthfully, I'm fresh out of ideas and I don't know what to say. It may just take time as YS sees your love and FORGIVENESS of H, and how you've demonstrated selflessness in re-establishing that relationship.

I don't know what to say, but I know how it's hard to live in peace and contentment if things aren't well with the relationships within the family.

I'm meeting with the director of missions at our church tonight to see how the church can help recruit more CASA volunteers. I've got to make some visits this week. I got a notice yesterday that the case has a new DFCS case worker (again). 4th case worker since this thing started last June. (I may run for public office based on a platform of reforming governmental social services and judiciary).

Anyway, tons of work to do.

I got a message from my attorney.

He's received the latest iteration of the divorce decree from xW's attorney and he needs me to review it. He said it's close, but still not totally what was said in court.

And...he's got my e-mail asking him to set up a conference with the judge to deal with the house issue. So, I'm going to meet with him @ 9:00 AM tomorrow to go over these items.

No class today or tomorrow, and I'm traveling almost all of next week.

How will I ever learn all about drainage if I keep getting interupted with WORK!!??

Afternoon, folks...

Well, iteration #2 of the divorce decree from xW's attorney is not AT ALL acceptable. Either my memory and my attorney's notes are in error, or xW's attorney is still trying to "enhance" the settlement in xW's favor.

My attorney is requesting a transcript of our actual court proceeding (from Nov. 17) so we can ALL know exactly what the judge said. He said if we request a conference before we get that the judge is just going to say that she doesn't remember what she said, and we'll end up arguing all over again.

In other news...I'm considering going on a mission trip with my church to Honduras. They send a team of 25 members once a year (I think it's only once a year). Tonight is the first meeting to discuss the trip, which is scheduled for July 22.

I went to an estate auction preview near my house this morning. The auction is Saturday, but you could preview today.

The sale is due to a divorce. Man, it was so depressing to see all the worldly belongings of a couple who had obviously lived a very "rich" life, and now it's all being auctioned off the highest bidder. So very, very sad. And of course, this was right after I was sitting in my lawyers office reading the latest version of the 'GEORGIA VS. GEORGIA' divorce decree.

Sad day for me....I miss my wife SO much!!!

And...if that wasn't bad enough, before my attorney's appointment I stopped by McDonalds for breakfast. Would you believe that snooty little girl behind the counter charged me for a SENIOR COFFEE!!!

Man....that's a bummer!

Do you remember b!tchen? Now that one is embarrassing. Maybe you are too young? I am a bit older than either of you two, FGG and Mimi.

I don't know the word bitchen, Trix.

However, you made me realize that I continue to say,
"That's NEAT"..Do the younger people that I work with know what I mean, you think?

They probably heard their parents say it...
