A beautiful good morning from Georgia. Breakfast and devotion on the deck this morning, accompanied by Jeb and lots of hungry fish.
I'm having dinner downtown tonight with a couple that we've known for years. I'm looking forward to that...
And tomorrow night is the big "family" dinner to celebrate #1S's Master's degree. I've got to admit that I'm a little nervous about that one...don't really want to see xW right now.

Hi GG,
Love the pottery... How cool. I really like the bear (I hope that's not a dog) <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. Sorry about the exW but it sounds like you are handling it as well as anyone could. Please take care - Dru

Have a pat answer you can repeat repeatedly should she begin on the legal stuff...something like.
We can set up a time to talk about that later, but now is not the time...
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance!

Thanks SHMI...still the queen of foggable (fog + babble).
I've found out that the dinner tomorrow night is going to be BIG.
#1S/DIL Me xW My parents xIL's My aunt and uncle DIL's mom
This could be a food fight that would make Larry, Curly & Moe look like amateurs.
This will be the first time xW and my Mom have been in the same room since WW made a trip to her house to tell her what a mistake it was to have married me. Not sure...but I think my Mom still kinda holds a grudge about that one!!
This will be good...tension so thick you could cut is with a very, very dull knife.

Thanks for posting your pictures FGG. Lovely work! I especially like the cups, the small vase, I know how tricky it is make those angles, the red piece is a fabulus color. Too bad your group will be breaking up. I know half the time for my students it's the comraderie of the class as much as it is making pots. Unfortunate you can't find a studio where you can have more access. I've tried to post some photos let's see if it worked. http://www.msnusers.com/namspotteryphotosSeems to have worked. Click on Pictures to the left. If you clickon the photos you'll get a better but one is way too close.

Very nice, nams...
I was pretty pleased with a way a few of these things turned out. I think if I were to be serious, I need to be exposed to someone else for a while as our instructor just kind of babysits right now. That's not a complaint, it's more or less what we want...just leave us alone and let us be kindergarteners!!

Wow, that was quick! Thanks FGG.
I know what you mean about "babysitting". There comes a point in time when students have all the basics & what they need is lots of time working with clay.
I took a class last year just to see a different perspective. What gets me working is books & magazines. Have you seen the book 500 bowls? Fantastic, a great place to get your creative juices flowing.
What I'd love to do is take a workshop with a potter whose work I like. Spend a couple of weeks producing then firing with gas, raku what have you. Kind of a pottery vacation.
I'm sorry to read about your troubles with your ex. How does it all come down to money? Very sad.

Hi FGG,
we haven't heard from you for a while. Is everything OK? Better than that?
