I'd definitely say I need a husband. The boys are pretty independent. DD looks to them for her male rolemodels. As DS#1 would say, they are "over" their dad.

It' scary to think about other guys. We've been together for a long time. Maybe our marriage has always been marginal? Maybe I've made a lot of compromises to keep things together. Maybe WH couldn't find the courage to bail out until OW oozed into his life.

I know that any person I am with in the future is going to have to be open, honest and available. I want somebody who can initiate things and follow through. Somebody who sits in the kitchen while I cook and then does the dishes. Somebody who is really interested in my day and always has a hug ready. Somebody who will do things that he doesn't want to do just because I do. A reader. A dancer. An intelligent, witty person.

I think don't 50 is very old. My mom at 87 still lives in her own apartment and drives. One of my great aunts got her BS degree at 79. A lot of my relatives live happily into their 90's. I don't think men would be falling over themselves to get to me. But I don't care. I have a lot of interests.

WH and I never had a lot of couples friends. He was never interested in forming those kind of relationships. I've always done outside activities. I've taken classes. For years, I've been part of a performing dance group. Problem, symptom or a way of filling the void. Most of my friends know me and know of my husband. One good thing is that I haven't been cut off from my friends because I'm no longer part of a couple.

I'm going to think hard about Plan B this weekend. I think it's time.

You are such a GODDESS!! I can almost envision you "flitting" around. Do you have any ballet slippers?

Sorry, no ballet slippers but I do have a pair of rippin' tap shoes. I should get them out and start tapping. Slamming your heels against the floor and making a lot of noise is so good for stress relief.

Actually, most of my dancing is done barefoot. I'm a hula dancer. It's very serene and centering.

I will do something very goddess-y for myself today!

Yup, I'm the blonde, blue-eyed one. Weird, I know. It's
kind of frustrating because most of the people I dance with don't have anymore Hawaiian blood than I do (0%) but have the correct coloring. I love the music and the dancing. Very serene. Hula is very different. Generally, you actually are telling a story while you dance. It's very analytical and has a structure. You talk about winds, picking flowers, the ocean and love. About 90% of the dances are about love. My hula sisters are wonderful people. Everybody hugs at every hello and goodbye. Even people who don't know you, hug you.

Yes, I've got the hula hip but WH has never fully appreciated them. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

With such a support system, PLAN B probably won't be as difficult for you as to others.

Keep those hips swinging! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
