My advice to anyone who is in this spot (the cheating place) and wants to really know what SH thinks….? Call him and ask! Da! ... but remember that it costs $3+/minute ($185/hr unless it's gone up) to talk to him. This is for a guy with a MS. My insurance will only pay for PhD or MD. I just could not bring myself to try to explain my entire life to somebody at $3+/min to the point where I could trust them to guide me. I'm sure he's a great guy, but not in my budget. I did make an appointment to talk to him once. I, mindful of the expence, phoned at exactly the appointed time (to the second). I was put on hold for 15 minutes - all the time wondering if that was coming out of my hour. I hung up and called the appointment lady to cancel. -AD

AD, I understand that for some folks the financial requirements of speaking to SH may exceed their ability to pay, and that’s a pity, but professional help is available to most all of us; if not from SH then from a different source.
I just feel that it’s unfair for people to stipulate to SH’s opinion about anything with out asking him first; regardless of what’s in his books. Further this kind of permissive approach presumes that MB is a one system fits all solution, which it isn’t; and SH is not some old man standing behind a door with a big stick in his hand screaming “Plan A” or else.
Things are just not that simple. And I don’t know what the answer is to a person’s lack of financial resources. I do know, however, that a third party making assertions as to what some one thinks or would advise, with out first asking that person, is not the best way to deal with these kinds of issues. Further, it’s the worst kind of unfair to then find fault with that person’s alleged opinion!
And this post by the way is not a slam on anyone! It’s just me stating my feelings on the matter and doing it where I perceived it to be a good place to do so. Coach

Coach:
I agree with you totally. You make a great point.
The "coaching" received from Steve H. is tailored to each person's individual experience.
I have TRIED to make it clear that I am speaking from my own experience.
As Grape indicated on her post, I do think the MB counselors focus on helping folks to stay married and to move towards recovery if at all possible.
BTW,I was moved by your posts on 2LONG's thread! Yes, we are special support group for each other...

People in good marriages cheat...if they can Like Mimi, I think this is a strong statement. I believe that the vast majority of As happen in Ms experiencing difficult or 'bad' periods - whether they are 'good' or 'bad' Ms in general is moot point and irrelevant in the end.

I have to admit that I am kind of chuckling at some of the posts to my statement. I am just going to <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> and move on from this. LM
Some people just don't get it, they don't get it that they don't get it.
I had the right to remain silent.......but I didn't have the ability.

Hi LM - I have to admit that I am kind of chuckling at some of the posts to my statement. I am just going to and move on from this. I think that may well be the issue - it seems to me that you tend to post whatever comes to mind at that instant without too much thought about it. Others tend to analyse meanings, interpretations etc. Just different temperaments.

In this particular case, I believe that this statement was "bludgeoned" to death. I actually take a little offense to your comment, but it is all good. LM
