I dunno, I took two years of Spanish in High School but I still like the Texan pronunciation: ho-bag

Look at the data:

She's 10 years younger than WH.

They have no money and he's living off her. (So try to make him pay the max child support and then some. No sense making it easy for them at your expense).

He's a heavy drinker.

She's controlling, strong willed and manipulative.

They have little, if even anything, in common.

Her parents are most likely very disapproving now that they have the truth - even if they are not sure what to believe.

Things could get tight at the school for either or both of them. (We can still help this along, you know.)

This is a barn full of unpacked dynamite.

Even though no one knows when it will happen, just one stray match and we will hear the explosion all the way over here.

But don't put your life on hold waiting for it. Move a ways upwind, in fact.

Well, that's good too. But she probably wouldn't understand that. Or my pronunciation of her profession either, come to that.

You and WAT are very generous. Would you need an email address, full address or what?

I'm thinking I might have one last go at this, if you are still willing. School breaks up here tomorrow, but it would be a nice surprise for them in September when they get back...

"You can't drinking as heavily and steadily as WH has for years and then just stop. Well, he hasn't stopped, he's cut down."

You are exactly right about this AND if she doesn't like his drinking, he is probably trying to hide it from her.
I can just see it now - they have a fight, he wants to have a drink, so he has to go out somewhere. As time goes by, he goes out more often to drink, without her. He stops at a pub on the way home for an hour, then 2 hours, etc...

The whole idea behind an affair is that the new person accepts you just the way you are. After all, the 2 of you are "soul mates". But as time goes by, she no longer accepts him just the way he is. She nags him about his drinking, about spending time with his girls, about being broke all the time. It turns out that he will have to work at this relationship, just like he had to work at the last one. Turns out he should have just stayed in the last realtionship, and worked it out. It would have been a whole lot easier.

I can see it too, and it's a beautiful thing (not that I'm bitter or anything...)

WOF5, it's really nice to talk to you again. I hope things are good for you?

Things are very good for me, thanks for asking!

It is so nice to be on the other end of that dark tunnell I was walking through 2 years ago.

I remember about a week after my H had left, someone told me that I would go through hell, but once I got through it all, I would not regret any of it. That I would apprecaite the chance for spiritual, and emotional growth. That is so true.

I would not wish this experience on anyone. But now that I have gotten through it, I am happy to be the person I am now.

Alph, don't ask how I know the Spanish, Greek and German for hooker OK ?

BTW Alph, has WH told you any of teh classic fog lines yet ?

"you'd like OW if you gave her a chance"
"I had to leave because you didn't"
"I did this for the kids"
"our love is pure and meant to be, if you tell anyone I'll kill you"

I'll bump up one of the fog compendium posts. You can play '[censored] bingo' and tick them off as you recognise them !

I am beginning to believe that too, although I still have a long way to go.

I already know I am a much stronger person than I was. I am a better mother. And daughter! I will be a better partner in life too for someone, although increasingly I am thinking it will not be WH.

But I know that one day, quite soon I think, I will be happy.

I'm sure things will continue great for you - you certainly deserve it.

Alph.

WH has said all of these things, sorta. But not all of them to me. He said he knew OW and I would be great friends. He said he didn't understand why I hadn't left him years ago. He said that us splitting up would make the kids happy. He has said that OW is his 'soulmate'. I guess that means it's 'meant to be'

Bob,

I forgot about your fog compendium. Your very own Bartlett’s: Quotations from The Little Brain.

There have been other such threads from time to time. My all time favorite was the WW who said she had her A because BH bought Coke instead of Pepsi.

My personal favorite was when FWW said just before DDay 2, “He’s like a brother to me.” An LTA is bad enough, but pretending it's incest too?

"Would you need an email address, full address or what?"

Post it all here. Email address, snail mail address, and school administrator names. Let everyone on MB have a crack at them if they wish.

the only problem may be using the names of WH and omlette. Perhaps just say what they teach or some other clue so it's clear to the school admin who they are without revealing their names here.

With prayers,

Hmmm.

I'm not sure I want to post it on here - I might set up an email account and you could get the details from that? Then you and WAT could have WH and OW's names too.

I've been thinking a lot about WH's visit yesterday. I've been wondering about the amount of ill-will he was sending my way whenever he saw me.

I know we had a 'heated' and 'emotional' discussion the night before, but there wasn't any ill-will from him during that discussion (only from me ).

I think that something else happened at school yesterday. Some more exposure fallout. He really was mad, and seemed to genuinely hate me.

Must have been bad, then. Shame.

Hate implies investment of emotional energy. It's way above the previous indifference.

I thnk he "hates" the bed he's made and finds himself unable to make peace with his choices.

Be patient.

His emotions are raw toward you and

Patience is not one of my virtues, I'm afraid.

I'm trying hard now not to think about this mess for the moment. Instead, I try and think about all the fun stuff the girls and I can do when we are on holiday.

AND DD12 IS COMING HOME FROM FRANCE TODAY!!!
