Frankly, do you really want to find another "gnome" in that sense....be awful, no feelings exchanged in real time. But you will find women who are even-tempered, less "reactive", willing to resolve conflict by in-depth perusal of the issues, won't take offense easily (or at all, fellow truthseekers)...etc, etc.
I do not actually want to find another "gnome" who exhibits the same emotional control that I have. In fact, the women I have found most attractive tend to be more emotionally volatile than average. This makes sense to me, since not only do I gain the benefit of vicarious emotional experience, but I am also well-equipped to deal with that sort of temperament in a relationship: I am able to validate the feelings without getting swept away by them.

Faith, I hear what you are saying about the "reap what you sow" thing. I attempt to live my life in a way which is consistent with that principle. However, the harvest can sometimes be a long way off (and to be more precise, I actually believe that although you cannot expect to reap unless you sow, the harvest is by no means guaranteed if you do sow). It's a good thing I "sow" just because I want to - and because I believe God wants me to - and not because I expect to "reap." Otherwise I would have to deal with disappointment in addition to frustration.

Honestly, I don't think it's JUST BS's who feel that way, a lot of affairs start because someone other than their spouse is validating them moreso than their spouse is.

The affair partner is speaking the love language they THINK is missing the most in their life/marriage at the time, be it sexual or emotional validation.

gdp, you said "It's a good thing I "sow" just because I want to - and because I believe God wants me to - and not because I expect to "reap." Otherwise I would have to deal with disappointment in addition to frustration. "

and I'm so glad.... I was thinking earlier today while I was out, that I hoped noone thought that I meant the opposite. It's easy to slip into that mentality... that the world (or that God) is a vending machine... "if I just be good... or if I just do this and this, I'll get what I want". That is not what I meant at all, so I'm glad you clarified that as well. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
