In my native country of TEXAS, the first three shots fired were all .40 caliber shots, and were all one shot kills.

To my knowledge, each one was justified. In the first death involving a licensee, the licensee was arrested for murder. The jury found that since the man he shot started punching him through his window, and tried to drag him out of the car, that Hale, the guy in the car with the legal gun, feared for his life, and was justified in shooting his assailant. (Ah reckon the jury decided the assailant "needed killing") The jury dismissed the case.

Just useless trivia about my home country.

As we say in TEXAS - an armed society is a polite society.

LOL not in alberta - we are the rednecks of Canada - we really need our own province - not those frenchies.

We are the un-politaclly correct people of Canada...where we all own guns at age 12 when Canada is trying to put gun laws into place - guns are a way of life out here And I know what okry is - even had some once - only thing is - we dont have the nice texan weather *sigh*

Lets put it this way again...our premier of alberta (which is like your governer of a state) went into a homeless shelter over Christmas, drunk on whiskey and told the homeless people to get jobs and stop leaching of his government. Our premier is the only one who WONT sign the Kyoto Accord that Bush wont sign either...the rest of Canada is embarrassed by our premier - but here in Alberta - we love him!!!! He is as rednecked as the rest of us
