Melody, hon, THIS IS NOT TEXAS. We live in California, where it is considered manly to get in touch with your feminine side - unless you ARE a female.

Ok ... onward....
From afar, I see a very handsome man ... and I can tell ---> THIS is NOT an ax-murderer. His eyes shine with brightness and inner joy, and truthfully, NOT ONE of the ax-murderers I have ever met had this light quality in their eyes.

Enter-ith RedHat .... should be named TOP HAT.
This man has him some class ... and I ain't kidding! (talkin' Texan so Mel can follow along... )
The rest of us look like game-show contestants compared to RedHat.
Frankly, I was rather stunned by RedHat. He is a person who carries so many admirable qualities. He is warm, caring, and approachable.
BUT for one small thing ... he brought along an ax-murderer as his guest. She first appeared to be demure ... but she possesed an exotic Mata Hari beauty ... that was obviously a cover-up for her ax murdering ways.... hmmmmmmm

That will go over real well at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth! Gawd, Melody! Can you give me a break here?! If I went in there full-on yee-haw Texan, they would have been horrified! As it was, I was able to talk about our right to carry loaded shotguns virtually anywhere *while* wearing a tiara Besides, Billy Bob's is for tourists and goat-ropers anyway Real Texans go to the Son's Of Hermann Hall in Dallas and dance polka to the multiple Grammy™ Award winning Brave Combo! ( www.brave.com/bo ) BTW, everyone who can should show up for the Red Elvises on Sat, Aug 13th at Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier. Big Fun!! ( www.redelvises.com )

However.... it was a case of mistaken identity ... for RH's guest was indeed, a lovely flower, and certainly not an ax murderer.
We ordered food ... by now it was one full hour past the agreed meeting time ... and we figured Believer was either stalking us with her ax, or not coming. Either way, might as well eat!

I know I missed out, Pep. I should have planned it better, and checked the train schedule. I thought about getting a bus back, but hadn't looked into that. Next time, I'm gonna be much more organized.

There was one 'moment' when an unexpected arrow pierced my heart.
Looking at family photos ... FF's personal heart-pain ricocheted off one photo and stung me in my own heart.
I'm not sure, but I think she saw that moment happening watching me herself.

I do owe RedHat and MataHari an apology !!!!!
I had promised to drive them back to their HOtel ... but instead, I got all excited about meeting Mr. Pep for a spontaneous DATE ... I just flippin' took off without so much as a howdy-do.
Thank you 2Long for picking up MY slack.
Sorry everyone... I am obviously flighty ... easily seduced by a promise of blues guitar-playing old men!

Pep - good job on that Texan. Now if we could get Melody and some of the other's here, we could work on them.

U r Gr8 @ talkin' story, Pep. The pre-party events were just as dramatic as da' party itself!!!
The visions painted by the story tellin' are great. I don't know what all the purty ladies look like but I know what the guys look like (from your pixes and b4) so now I have these mental pixes and want to see if they match the real thing!!!
Please continue your story. I wanna know if 2L finished that bannanananana split.

I'm not sure, but I think she saw that moment happening watching me herself. I did see it, Pep. I also noticed the table got very quiet for a short bit when I told my DS's story. I have to say I just met some of the most amazing people yesterday. All warm, caring wonderful people with a sense of humor. I could have sat there all night talking to them if kids woulda let me.

What a wonderful afternoon! It was too bad that the other MB'er had to cancel at the last minute, the MB'er with two kids, that is, because Katy would have had more in common with another youngster. She and Wyatt are beautiful children, and unbelieveably well behaved when you realize how long we were there, and that except for the goofy things Pep brought, not much for them to do.
I started feeling like Alice at the Mad Tea Party when Nerlycrazy came up and introduced herself. Surreal, Monty Pythonesque moments. And every time her name was repeated - it was so funny!
WST, I didn't curl my hairdo, them's natural curls. I use the hot rollers on my arm hairs to give them body. Don't tell me nobody noticed after all the work I put in! [lying ]
Melody, I first was fixin' to order a veggie burger. But Katy sitting next to me brought me to my senses. She was ordering a meat burger. And I realized - Bob's is not the place to be a vegetarian. Unbelievably good, I wolfed it down.
Pepperband used to be a flight attendant. The energy - good Lord, where does she get it? Do you ever sleep? She has enough energy to share with the whole table.
Red Hat and his Lady came in, can you imagine the kind of relationship potential for the two of them, using MB principles? They really do look like a couple.
I hope somebody took a pic of 2long's vw bus for the record. Words cannot describe it. Like Nerlycrazy's name, you just have to laugh. I'm so glad I went!

Bellevue, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed meeting you. What a lovely person, with the warmest eyes and smile. Plus, she had the good sense to have loads of avocado on her burger!
Yep, RH and his lady are quite the couple.

faithful, ditto and likewise. It was a unique experience, the whole event! Your story about Wyatt and the events leading up to his becoming ill and disabled, I can't imagine coping with such loss and grief. And still, Wyatt is very present and a part of your family. What grace filled people you are.
