Really...think about it. You wouldn't slip on wood floors when you run, you wouldn't get lint between your toes and you would have those mysterious singles that seem to have no mate. I vote for a sockless society.

I LIKE slipping on the floors (I never did learn to iceskate and it also makes for a good cover when one is drunk or just uncoordinated) and I actually like sock lint (THAT covers up dirt when one is a "barn" person/hoosier like myself)! Not to mention, those rubber boots w/o socks, eeewww.

And the sad thing is that I DID think about it..it is only fitting that I come out of lurkdom for a post such as this one. Only the most important issues, y'know....

ANd FF, They don't HAVE to match, I have made fashion statements (altho I'm not sure what I said, 'zactly..

Sorry, FF.

I love socks..

I wear bright colors around the house on my wood and tile floors so my feet won't get cold..

I don't like the squishy feeling in shoes without socks so if I don't have on hose I ALWAYS wear socks..

I have lots and lots of socks...

my husband is a sock addict.

I've never met a man who loves new socks as much as my husband.

I have to keep him away from the socks. They're dangerous I tell you!

I'm a barefoot lady, too. However, I inherited the tendency to have cold feet at night, so if I want to stick my feet against H's leg for warmth, I have to wear socks to bed.

Unless a touch of the devil gets into me...and then I stick my icy toes up between his thighs. THAT gets his attention fast!

This really started when I told my DD12 all her problems would be solved if she would just stop wearing socks. I swear it could 90 degrees outside and that girl has socks on her feet! sheesh

JLS !!!
Did we miss you - heck, we had search and rescue looking for two months. You must have been hiding really well.

Fess up, and tell us what's going on.

I vote for socks. My W votes for no socks. That means the no socks wins at our house.

I LOVE socks. But only in the winter.

Our drier broke the other day and we had to pull it out from the wall. What was behind it? - SOCKS. Rob bought a pack of socks the other day that looked like ordinary black business socks. When he opened it, they all had the days of the week on the soles. Truly. It was very funny.

Undies - absolutely. Ick, not wearing any. Eeww, double ick. Oh, except perhaps for "I'm not wearing anything under my clothes tonight." THAT works.

I used to nanny my husband's children, my little neice hated to wear socks! Getting ready for kindergarten was a nightmare! I bought fancy ones with lace, extra soft ones, 100% cotton ones, you name it, I tried it. One morning in frustration I said, WHY? WHY don't you like socks??

She said "I Hate the way they're MADE!"

We all laughed about that for a long time.

Bob, I have decided to become a "no socks" kinda gal. Yesterday one of my co-workers commented on my purty done up toes.

It's funny FF, the pack didn't say ANYWHERE that they were "days of the week" socks.

Now he says "I'm going to be a rebel today and wear my Tuesday socks on a Wednesday." LOL
