Abortion and Future Pregnancies


The American Medical Association and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology agree that abortion could lead to future pregnancy complications. A post-abortive woman has an increased chance of miscarriage and infertility. Abortion also heightens the risk of placenta previa in later pregnancies. (Placenta previa is a life threatening condition for both the mother and her wanted pregnancy.)
