This is way too conviluded for me to understand.

Why do you accept blame for his physical abuse? But not the affair? Both are PHYSICAL ACTIONS that only he can control.

Or are you saying that is how you "used to" think?

I'm not understanding why Tom wants to spend evenings "sharing feelings" when he takes no responsibility for yours. Whats the point?

Hi,

I'm back from my week in California with my husband. We had a great time together. I put in more on my line. In just one day I have lost that close feeling though. It sounds like you two may be making progress. If you can find a way to speak honestly without being offensive then your lines of communication will open up. Which one of you has a greater need for conversation? What kind of conversation is it? You both have a high need for affirmation that isn't being met I think. That's like us too. To me it would be important to end a talk about feelings that may be difficult to hear with some affirmation.

The things going on right now with you sound very encouraging to me. It sounds like he is starting to realy think about the past and the future and does want the future to be better.
