I have been having all sorts of wild dreams lately, some A-related and some not. Neaksis dreamed of a tyrannosaurus rex that she had trained to eat M&M's out of the toilet.

We can't be the only crazy ones out there.

Please tell me we're not the only crazy ones out there.

I slept with Superman. The cape kept getting in the way. I don't usually remember my dreams though so the ones I do stick in my mind.

OK, that was funny. How disappointing for you. Maybe you were just supposed to use the cape as a blankie to keep you warm.

I need to put my reading glasses on. The first time I read that, and again in the double-take, I thought you said the cage kept getting in the way.

I will have to store this information away for when I give AJ the Superman outfit for his birthday.

Poor Believer.

Sometimes I have dreams where I do housework all night, but lots of times I have exciting dreams to make up for it. The one with all the tornados, where we all took shelter in the bathroom of a high school gymnasium was pretty cool.

What are you still doing awake? I'm getting paid. What's your excuse?

As long as you're still online I'm glad I didn't tell about the dream I had back in the 70s, wherein I had a, hm-m, ah, romantic encounter with Brigitte Bardot. Don't ask me why. I have no clue. And if anybody thinks they know why, and can interpret my psyche for me, don't bother. I don't WANT to know, either!

Well, here I go putting my dignity in your hands, but after weeks of ho-hum dreams, last night's was wild.

I dreamt I was in a relationship (like... IN A RELATIONSHIP) with another woman. And no, it wasn't a sex dream, my subconscious spared me those details, but in the dream I felt that it was very nice, even though I wasn't in love with her. Anyway, a real-life friend of mine who is also lesbian, and her girlfriend, made an appearance. My friend wanted me to take part in a gay pride parade! And here I am saying, "Well, I'm involved with [whatever her name was in the dream] but I'm not gay!" And there's my friend looking at me scheptically, as if to say, "Oh yeah?" So I say, "Look, I'm definitely not gay. I like [whatever her name was in the dream], but I don't like all women that way! If you were to put a block of chocolate and a gorgeous woman in front of me, and asked me what I would prefer, I'd pick the block of chocolate!"

So... yeah. Top THAT!

I DID notice that! Neak will doubtless have a comment, but she'd finally gone to bed shortly before your post. She'll probably have something to say once she awakens. Like, "Thanks, Mom, for only dreaming about Brigitte Bardot."

And a big thanks to you, too, River Tam, for making my dream seem dull and boring. Let that be a lesson to that Neak person to be careful what kind of questions you ask on this board!

I have a lot of flying dreams...like I'll be walking somewhere and I say to my walking partner, "Why walk when we can fly?"
Or I'll fly to get out of danger or trouble..to hide in the trees. Very bird-like of me eh?

But I've found I can only fly if I'm happy...watching too much Peter Pan?

One sunny morning in April several years ago, my brother called as I was driving to work to tell me our father had died sometime the previous night in his sleep.

What was so odd was that the night before I was dreaming about a family gathering and it occurred to me in my dream that one of my parents was dead. I loked around at the family members gathered there and surmised that it must be daddy because I could see mother across the room. Then I woke up.

What a surprise the next morning to find my dream was true!

Sheesh, I AM jealous. I don't remember too many dreams, usually only when I wake up in the middle of one. But they are always frustrating - no money for the bus, lost and can't find my way out of somewhere, etc.

I would LOVE to be training dinasaurs to eat M&M's out of the toilet. How exactly do you do that?

RiverTam- been there done that and made me think wayyyy tooo much I might add.

My favorites are:
that I am in the delivery stage after carrying a "child" for 9 months and when the doc comes in he procedes to deliver 9 healthy puppies!!! Now I nursed twins but how the heck do you nurse 9 "babies"
Or that I am in bed with a gorgeous guy, and being a nurse maybe some of you can relate, all I keep doing is a full body assessment, head to toe, with cranial nerve checks and all. NO ummm you know going on, all professional. Boy that one stinks.
Well thats the best I can do. No M&M eating dinos for me. T&L if it were superman, I think I would be doing the same nursing assessment on him.....

My favorite dream was one of meeting my mother who had died a few years prior, and we were sitting in the kitchen chatting. The thing I remember the most about the dream was remembering the comforting motherly love that she displayed during our dream chat. It was like being at home again, once more.

As a child my dreams were vivid. I had a recurring dream for ever that I could fly. Not soaring through the sky like Superman (there he is again!) but swimming breast stroke above the traffic. It was so frequent and so real I can even remember how to take off and land. Bliss.

*primly* I am merely wishful that it had been BRYAN Bardot.

Dear, brave Believer. Maybe the secret to having such exotic dreams will be revealed. Until then, try and make sure you take your money with you on the bus.

RiverTam, well, hmmmmm, you didn't kill it anyway.

Almost exactly 10 years ago I was on a business trip in Villahermosa, Mexico. I was staying at a hotel near Tabasco 2000 and decided to walk around the corner to Freedays (formerly TGI Fridays) to have dinner. I was bored so had a lot of free time so I spent a while there. I had to get up and go to the restroom and I saw a poster on the wall that fascinated me. It was B&W of a man in a leather jacket sitting on a motorcycle in an alley of some city with a girl sitting facing him with her head on his shoulder. She look hurt and sad and I remember think how I felt for her and what a good strong person he was to take care of her. The poster gave me a wonderful feeling.

The next night I had nothing to do yet again so decided to go again to Freedays more than anything because I wanted to see that wonderful poster once more. I am skipping a lot of important events for the sake of brevity. I did go and, although I had no need to go to the restroom, I did anyway. There was the poster. I looked at it thinking I would get a nice feeling again but, instead, I felt an almost instant revulsion. I saw a man taking advantage of a defenseless and hurting woman for his own interests. I was disgusted. I left the restaurant immediately and, on the way back to the hotel, I got mad at myself. How was it possible that I, on two consecutive nights, could possibly have such diamterically opposed reactions to a poster - and strong ones at that? What was wrong with me? I went back to the hotel, got ready for bed and had three dreams. They were the most real dream experiences I have ever had to this day. Some say that dreams take seconds. I don't know. These three dreams lasted all night because I woke up periodically and each time I went back to sleep, I went right back into the dream where I had left off.

In the first dream I was in a black sedan in the back seat with Robert Vaughan (the Man from UNCLE) on my left. The car was driving down an empty highway in a large city with many turns. The driver was unconscious and the road was full of potholes with flames coming out of them. Although the car had no driver and even though it swerved from side to side hitting the walls and guardrails, it kept going forward almost but not quite entirely out of control. Robert Vaughan never blinked. He just stared straight ahead - intent on the mission - nothing would stop him from his duty - never showing any emotion. Now I was not worried about any of this. I new that Robert Vaughan was entirely control of the situation. My larger problem was that, on my right side in the back seat was a black panther. The panther was difficult to see because everything in the car was black as well. Even so, I grabbed the panther with my right hand because I knew he wanted to kill Robert Vaughan. My job was to prevent that from happening. I could feel the panther clawing and biting me but I could not let go - I just let it bite. I had to protect Robert so he could fulfill the mission.

The remaining two dreams are somewhat related but are much more complex. Now I know I must have hit my hand on something near the bed during my dream but, when I woke up, I had something that looked very much like a bite mark on my right hand with little pinpricks of blood. Go figure.

Since you don't know what I was like before and neither do you know me now, it is a little hard to appreciate. The next day - through a series of strange circumstances - I came to understand the three dreams. In the first dream, Robert Vaughan was me. I was the person who ignored everything, intent on the mission, fulfilling my duty at all costs. I was also the panther. I was the wild, uncontrolled anger, passion, love - the untamed beast. The problem I had always had was that I tried to keep those two apart. I wanted to deny the panther because I thought is was wrong.

That day, I learned to let Robert and the panther coexist as one and they have lived happily together to this day. I went back to Freedays that night for no particular reason. While sitting there, I looked up and, believe it or not, there was a black panther skin on the ceiling. Weird. I went to the restroom. I was a little afraid to look at the poster again. I looked anyway and do you know what I saw? A nicely photographed poster. Nothing more nothing less.

That is my strangest dream (1st of 3 actually) ever and it is entirely true. And it healed me.

Tuck Tummy,
I too, like you, used to dream I was flying as a child, only I would fly inside the house, hovering just below the ceiling where family members would try to grab me and pull me down. I flew to escape their clutches.

Dang it...I had a really wild dream the other night that I would love to tell, but I can't remember what you call that extra piece of skin attached to the end of a man's "you know what" and it won't make sense without my remembering what you call that...if anyone can remind me, I will share....
