I would think that HR would be interested in improving the work environment. Unhappy employeees, i.e. those trying to hide an ongoing affair, or those suffering withdrawl, or those trying to manage their BS following d-day are focusing on everything but their jobs. It has got to affect productivity and that is the BOTTOMLINE for most businesses!

Oh please...many things affect production but are not revealed to all people. Unless the situation is occurring AT work, it is not HR's business

Who said anything about exposing it to everyone? Besides, seems with her office nick name, OW isn't really concerned with who knows about her activities.

This situation is technically called disruptive to good order and discipline. Sure many things affect productivity, not arguing with that, but stand by that WS, BS and OP don't mix well in the work place.

I know exactly how you feel about wanting to do something like that. I know now where my H works, they are conducting more work statistics. If you are caught out of your work area, you will be written up first time, then suspended the next time, then fired. There has been alot of ongoing affairs where he works. I'm just glad that our friends that we have in common out there, do tell me the truth about things now. The OW in my case, tried every way possible to break us up, even though she is married. She succeeded in breaking up a few that I know of. She even tried filing sexual harassment on some of the men that refused to carry on an affair, but she got ZERO, I had a good laugh out of that one when I found that out.

So when employees have to work in an environment where the A activities are blatant enough for the OW to have a 'nickname' thereby affecting the 'work enovironment', who should be notified.......the State Department of Labor?

If the employees can't get their HR dept to give this due consideration, the State Department of Labor may well be interested in this case. Just go take a look at your state's website and see if there are any similar cases recorded.
