She knows I don't believe her. I don't know why she keeps trying to insist she's not having a PA.

As far as buying her stuff...it was Mother's day, and we were having a good day, so I decided to buy her the shirts instead of ordering a new computer part .

I agree, it's a waste of time trying to lecture her, but I felt better about just getting that out there. You never know, maybe my questions will make her think a little more.

Yea, she later said that the wind tunnel was actually kinda funny .

GF, have you considered the possibility that this "bladder infection" is actually - or also - an STD?

FWIW, her explanation for her symptoms sounds like complete bollocks to me.

Have you spoken to her doctor? If you don't know who it is, the name will be on the label of the medicine container. You *have* seen the medicine containers, haven't you?

Just what are these "real strong antibiotics" she's taking? And I could be wrong, but I don't think antibiotics are contraindicated in a pregnant woman.

There's somebody here who will know . . .

Mulan,

Yes I've seen the bottles...I picked them up from the pharmacy for her.

STD? Could be. Though I think she'd be pretty darn pissed if that happened.

If you want to post what the meds are, GF, we could get a pretty good clue of what she's being treated for. You have every right as well as a responsibility to know. I work as an MT (medical transcriptionist) and I've got good reference books and websites.

But Mulan - you don't have the PDR they use on the Mothership.

GF,

Without getting graphic, her bladder infection (if really that) can be caused by risk-based sexual activity.

To understand this better, imagine a front door and a back door where the backdoor's doorknob is tainted. One touches that doorknob when going thru it and then immediately goes to the front door and touches that doorknob when going thru it which infects it.

Is my analogy painting a clear picture for you? Sorry if this hurts you. Not my intention.

Jo

p.s. This type activity can make a female VERY VERY ill. Most sane people know this.

My thoughts exactly, Resilient. GF, I hope you are paying attention.

And WAT - where can I find that PDR? We all need it here!

PDR - Physician's Desk Reference.

It lists virtually every drug and medicine in existence with dosage, indications, contraindications, side effects, etc.

Anyone can buy one. I have a thick paperback copy for the MT work.

If GF posts the exact name of the drugs his WW was prescribed, we can look them up in the PDR and get a pretty good idea of what she's really being treated for cuz it tells all.

When WW met OM for the first time she seemed pretty grossed out that he apparently has quite the pornography collection.

Seems to me that he might be using my wife to try out some of the things that he's seen.

I think I'm going to be sick.

In my own personal experience:

I have only had two bladder infections. The first time it happened my female doctor said, "Do you know how you get bladder infections" to which I said "no" and her answer was "sex". Period. Doesn’t have to be rough, or front door back door type of stuff. Certainly, at that point in my life, there was no unusual activity happening. She recommended that I remember to go to the bathroom regularly, after SF, in order to "relieve myself". And that would help me to keep from getting too many more infections.
I have had a bladder infection one more time since then. I knew what it was right away; called her office, and she said, "No problem, I will call in the prescription". After about 2-3 days the infection usually clears up.

I have two other friends who get them on a fairly regular basis, and both of them agree that their doctor has told them that a bladder infection is caused by sex. Period. Nothing more to it, just plain old SF.

Do not confuse a bladder infection with any thing else like a yeast infection; I am talking purely bladder infection.

In my most humble opinion - if your WW has truly been suffering from a bladder infection, and the two of you have not be intimate since January - then she is clearly having SF with someone else.

Also – as Pep suggests above – it is sometimes called Honeymoon cystitis – because typically there is a lot of activity during the honeymoon, which frequently results in a bladder infection.

I hope I have not been too graphic.

No, not to graphic. Just depressing. I'm going to a doc on Wednesday and hopefully he will give me a mild anti-depressant.

I already emailed my lawyer and she feels that it's not a negative mark against me, so I'm going to ask for some help.

I'm sorry, GF.

I think its best to look into ADs. You're experiencing situational depression. This type of thing is very hard to go thru and a mild AD will help you.
