I'm no expert on this either but it has more to do with stabilizing the Vit C doesn't it?

There's a great forum on skincare here.
Click web page
It hasn't been going that long but it's great.

I am a big fan of good old rosehip oil for moisturiser. Cheap as chips and has done wonders for me, but best to get organic if possible and least refined.

Do a google on rosehip oil.

LadyLayla, the problem with just using straight vitamin C is that the molecule is too large to penetrate the skin cell. That was why it was such a huge breakthrough when they discovered how to make it absorbable via the skin. You wouldn't get the same effects if you just applied unreformulated vitamin C to your skin as you would a product like Cellex-C that is designed by scientists to be absorbed into the skin. And once it is in that form, it is very hard to stabilize and retain potency.

Here is an article about it in the Wisconsin State Journal: http://www.cellex-c.com/end_user/science/daybreak.html

Here are half face studies on its effects: http://www.cellex-c.com/end_user/science/half_face.html

Here is my skin: http://pic12.picturetrail.com/VOL427/742855/5294674/68324970.jpg

Using the Cellex-C has taken years off my skin. I went from having extremely dry, lined skin at age 40, to normal, unlined, younger looking skin at 48. I look younger than all of my younger brothers and sisters and am 8 yrs older than the youngest one.

It stimulates collagen production and plumps up wrinkles. It also protects skin from UV lights. I did extensive research on skin care products several years ago and found a very effective regimen that changed my skin quite effectively.

And here is the regimen that I came up with after my research.

1. First get a good exfoliation, preferably from an esthetician. Nothing can penetrate skin that is coated with dead skin cells

Morning routine:

1. Wash face in shower
2. Apply Cellex-C cream
3. Immediately follow with hyaluronic acid [h.a. binds with the water in your skin and helps the skin retain moisture. I use Hydra B-5Gel - this helps the cellex-C penetrate at a deeper level
4. Wait 10 minutes for this absorb
5. Apply sunscreen
6. Follow with Estee Lauder Resilience Lift moisturizer [I use this stuff for the great LIFT it gives] and foundation

Evening Routine

1. Wash face with foaming PH balanced cleanser - LET DRY
2. Apply Aquaglycolic 10% [this stimulates cell turnover, this is in the AHA family]
3. Wait 10 minutes for cream to absorb
4. Apply pea size of Renova cream

I don't usually need a nighttime moisturizer, but when I do, I use a gamma lineoic acid, an essential fatty acid that SEALS moisture in the skin, my brand is GLA by Cellex-C.

I exfoliate about 2-3X a week and get a good professional facial about 1X per quarter.

for a Texan, huh? you dawg! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> They should pay me for all the money I have paid them over the years! But they deserve it, they produce a superior product that really does work.

(sarcasm)...Two banks accounts are great! My wife and I have had two bank accounts since the 2nd refi in 1996 (bought in 1990 for 440K - just finished our 4th refi-now owe 720k). I make 200k a year, she makes 75k. We never discuss our finances...why should we? OH..UHH..let's see oh yeah..we dont spend time recreationally, we never have need for Enthusiastic Approval because we don't talk, and we both get to fill our emotional needs with our A's (money -sex-?) because we don't know how to fill each other. Gosh...maybe we should divorce..oh yeah we did that emotionally in 1990 also. You could imagine my surprise when the 70k in credit cards was discovered...oh well thats her problem in our blissful marriage...isn't it?

PLEASE READ THE BASIC CONCEPTS...from my experience your both avoiding intimate conversation about your needs and goals. Time for a MB tune-up?

Thanks ML
I've been tempted at times to give the Cellex C a go but haven't as yet. I know it classed as top notch skincare.

You may be interested in the above mentioned forum, they discuss similar products to what you use. Glycolic etc (which I use weekly and luv). You have to register but it is worth it, there are some knowledgeable girls there.

Gotta run out the door.
Thanks again.
