We’ve been talking a little be about attractiveness and chemistry. And we’re all so different. Out of idle curiosity, what gives you those tingling feelings? What are non-starters for you?

Since I posted this I’ll go first. Here’s what I adore in men in no particular order:
1. A great voice
2. A wee bit of swagger
3. Genuine self-confidence
4. Passion about something
5. A nice smile
6. Sparkling eyes
7. An interest in ME

Non-starters:
1. Bad boys
2. Icky voices
3. Man-breasts
4. Men smaller than me

GDP, Unfortunately, I'm well over 2 feet tall. However, I can keep my eyes open for cute little Gnomes of the female persuasion.

OOPS! You were making a joke/comment about me not being interested in men smaller than me. It wasn't personal at all.

Silly me.

tingles:
1. Long muscular leggs
2. Definitely the voice
3. Cowboy boots (and I hate country music)
4. Dark eyes (esp with cro-magnim forhead)
Alright, I like the big, dumb, egotistical, redneck jocks! I'm just looking for one that's not so dumb and needs a little less ego stroking.

turn offs:
1. While bald can be sexy, a comb over is sooo not.
(A short guy spiking his hair too high is also bad.)
2. Soft hands
3. Too much cologne
4. Thin lips
5. Pretty boys (guess new term is metrosexual)

2. Guys with better manicures than me;
3. Feminine voices
4. Bad haircuts

I could go on, and on, and on.....

If I could place an order he would be something like:

1) tall, 6' would be real nice, and a nice solid build. [I'm not talking all muscle, just nice!]
2) nice teeth/smile
3) "manly" sensitive [you know, the kind that's moved by emotion]
4) sense of humor is a must
5) good [to very good, hey, I live in WV] hygiene
6) I would appreciate someone with faith and that would go to church with me.
7) and sexy would be, being barefoot and in blue jeans!

need not apply would be:

1) liar/cheater
2) arrogant personality
3) smoker
4) overly flirtacious
5) vulgarity

So Green, where do I place my order?? You've got me all excited with my wishlist!

hmmmm....

at first site? i have learned that initial see someone and i have those " got to have you right here right now" feelings are NOT good. when i have had those it has never worked out. there has to be much more than just a pure physical attraction for me.. that being said, here goes:

1.a man who takes pride in their appearance and smells really good. not like a GQ guy with all the right clothes or anything, I am totally fine with jeans (levis jeans, gap jeans, stuff like that) and a good shirt. I just do not like sloppy, wrinkley, not into geek, not into big and baggy clothes, etc.
2. a good father. I see a man with this child/children and I can see how much he loves them and how good he is with them, you got me right there!
3. nice smile, eyes, teeth, all good
4. good sense of humor
5. deep, educated, manly masculine yet not afraid to show emotion
5. passionate
6. not afraid of closeness, I am a bit of a warm fuzzy, I like touchy feely cloesness. not a lot of PDA, but just a touch or something is nice.
7. taller than me, got to be my height or preferrably taller (usually not an issue, I am about 5'6" tall)
8. good job, security
9. someone basically with the whole package really gets to me
10. age is not a huge issue but I have found I prefer my age, maybe a year younger or older, not into wayyyyyy younger (although that attention is flattering and I have had several younger men who were very complimentary to me!) and not into wayyyyyy older.
11. confident is good, self assured

No tingles for:
1. cocky arrogant self centered all about them only
2. shorter than me
3. no sense of humor
4. never smiles
5. not into family or family things
6. doesn't take pride in appearance
7. lazy, no energy, sits around all day, no way because I am go go go, total type A personality!
8. someone who sleeps in half the day, yuck!
9. selfish and doesn't like to share, secretive, all that kind of stuff....

with the exception of a few things, that "no" list pretty much describes my ex! LOL

it pretty much takes the whole picture for me.. when that is in place I will be tingly happy giddy, oh ya! mlhb

Gentlemen? What about you? Surely, the rest of you are as courageous as GDP.

Come on. We can take it. What gives you the tingles?

Does my list get sent to the man fairy who will grant my wishes?

Open, intereting/interested disposition
warm smile with a bit of, he's got my number, in it
a slight touch when we talk
eagerness to spend time with me

Bad breath
condesending attitude
unkind to wait staff
talks endlessly about how smart he is or how much stuff he has

I mean man fairy as in a fairy with a wand, maybe wings who grants wishes.

Well...Ummm.... Uhhh..... The big starter for me...... is...(or should I say was)... A woman with great big perky..... ummmm....uhhhh.....eyes... Yes you read correctly, eyes.... The portal to the soul.. Eyes you can look into and see all the world and all the beauty that is... As far as physical attributes, eyes would be my number #1....

However, the physical is lower on my "Do it for my scale" than the mental and spriritual. The love of God is right up there at the top. Conversational with the intelligence to start and end a conversation. Enough sense of humor to laugh at me, my jokes, and herself.

That being said I was either lucky or blessed because I behold the "whole enchilada" as we speak and I found her when I wasn't looking...Hmm... Maybe I am blessed....

my post probably describes both what i want and what would get me tingly...

but i have had that instant tingly feeling on first site. that pure physical attraction thing. there was someone i worked with once that just upon first site i was like wo! he was close to my age, gorgeous eyes, impeccable dresser, smelled great. ya, i looked at him and got that feeling. we ended up being great friends actually for years. i have not always acted upon those instant feelings. the last guy i kind of was getting to know a few months back. ya, on first site went a little gaga... got those tinglies. got to know him and those tinglies were gone. the inside did not match the outside.

I USUALLY go for a certain "type" but not always. it always depends on the circumstances. I usually like to look at a well built man, tall, like gotees, dressed well, confident. BUT.... it so all depends. guy I worked with was actually my height and small, not well built as one would say. but he was attractive and looked nice and made me laugh. so it is so much more for me than that initial physical look that gets me the tinglies if any of this at all makes sense.

so far, any man that i have seen that got me instantly wanting him right here right now, has NEVER worked out. My ex was one of those men. When you do not go beyond the physical it fizzles pretty quickly. Would my perfect man have to make me weak at the knees upon first site? absolutely not. I would hope I am not that shallow! mlhb
