It isn't that long right this minute. The length varies..but it has generally always been long.

After Hs A I cut it.

The thing about really long hair is that the "growing out process" is measured in YEARS not months.

I LOVE long hair too...When I first moved "up nawth" mine was 'bout waist length...then there was "the yankee conspiracy" that made me cut it to *GASP* bob length...which is the reason I know about Great Length Extensions...Anyhoo, actually, I was only teasing Noodle, in my experience long hair is much easier than short hair...

Hey...When did this thread get serious??? Who can I shift the BLAME to??? LOL! (get it? shift BLAME? LovingAnyway came up with that one-love that pithy girl!)

In college, B.O.B. was an acronym for BIG OLE BUZZ!!! Or I could think of a few others if we are refering to an OP...But for now, I'll keep my mouth shut and be a lady...

Well, when I turned 40 some dopey hairdresser told me it was time to go short -- especially since it's fine and thin and doesn't hold a style.

I hate that guy.

I've never been able to grow it out really long since... though it's been to my shoulders as recently as two years ago... and it seems never to be again... my hair grows oh-so-slowly...

Well, that hairstylist is on crack! I think longer hair can be very attractive on 40+ women. I look awful in short hair and keep mine around shoulder length.

seriously, noodle? Tell me more...

Mel, I agree, the guy was nuts. My mother says my hair looks great now and I HATE IT. I have been doing this Reba-ish spikey-ish thing for too long now and even if it did grow out now it would grow out in viney strands (because they cut it all these crazy lengths to make it spike). If I got it cut so that it could grow out nice I'd look like my High School gym teacher for about a year... and I hate that in-between thing that makes me look like the little boy on the paint can (Dutch Boy?) or the boy in the shoe (Buster Brown? How freakin' old am I?????)... or RuthAnn from Northern Exposure... you know what I mean... bowl cut...

Whaaaa... I hate my hair.
