22: do not read this post, it might make you laugh !
23: take yourself very, very seriously
24: think about life as being full of problems, not just situations
25: don't look into the mirror and make funny faces at yourself (no, don't go and try it! no!) (rats, too late)
26: don't kick yourself in the *** and tell yourself to get a life
27: take everthing personally
Haha thanks Pep.

A friend of mine once asked someone to write down how to best get depressed and how to make sure you wouldn't get out of the depression again, and the result was somewhat similar. Actually, it turned out to be a very long list and a lot of work!

28. When faced with a difficult decision, wait until those around you make it. They know what's best for you and will act in your best interest.

30. If something offends you, it is the thing's fault. Defend yourself:lash out or retreat. DO NOT consider WHY it offends you; this would require facing what it touches inside of you!

Well, this thread was a welcome laugh and kick up the whoopsy for me!

And Pep - I love Bernie Siegel's Love, Medicine and Miracles.

Yeah Tam

that book was a watermark read for me

in person, as a speaker, he has a ton of charisma

I saw Bernie speak, as well as Elizabeth Kubler-Ross <~~~ and she , quite suprisingly, was a major snooze fest in person !! While Bernie was a firecracker.

I made a mental note to self

*when doing public speaking be upbeat and lively *even if* talking about cancer/death/taxes

LOL

Thanks for staying on track with the numbers...

One of my pet peeves.. taking notes at a lecture or talk..and the person says..I have three points and they only name two or give four...

And I was guilty of this on this thread...

Mimi...still learning to color outside the lines...

34. Come to www.marriagebuilders.com and declare that everyone that follows MB principles are members of an outlandish cult and then tell them that "there is more that one way to skin a cat"! After all, your own UNIQUE way of doing things has proven so incredibly successful thus far...

-I personally tested this one, after making email contact with OM for "closure" ...Worked like a champ to keep SELFISH ME miserable longer, while having the added "benefit" of STABBING my husband AGAIN!!! NICE... DUH!!! Banging your head against a wall is such fun, especially when you can get two for the price of one by banging your spouse's head against the same wall at the very same time... OI VEY!!!

41. Give credence and value to the WORDS of a WS.

42. Deny the NECESSITY of a NC LETTER, EXTRAORDINARY PRECAUTIONS and RULES OF PROTECTION as ALL being key aspects of TRUE RECOVERY.
