My husband has been mentioning buying me some larger breasts. I would have never considered doing anything like that before. I'm fairly well proportioned and not flat...it's just that 6 pregnancies (4 children nursing and 2 miscarriages) have taken their toll on my body.

I've posted my story on the Other board "impotence after affair." I told him i would consider it after our marital probles were worked out.

Has any one had this done and were you happy with it?

I haven't done it but I am considering it in the future.

How do YOU feel about the idea?

I haven't had it done. Never really considered it.

Your H sounds like a guy who would be insecure with losing his hair and waste gobs of $$ on Rogaine or hair restoration. Am I correct?

Before making a decision, please visit the below community. They claim no implants, be it silicone or saline, are safe.

The OW in my sitch had implants. They made her ill and she gained big money from sueing the mfg, albeit on a technicality.

I'm wavering. Sometimes I feel it would be a superficial thing to do. Sometimes, I feel that it would do so much for my self esteem (pretty low right now considering...). I also want my H to realize that his needs/wants are important to me.

I am nervous about health consequences and whether I would feel "real" if I had it done.

What kinds of pluses and minuses have you come up with?

vows.

I think you husband has to overcome his first problem first...and i highly doubt enlarging your boobs are gonna help that problem.

My personal plus and minus calculator?

Well..first of all..I wouldn't actually want *implants* but I am interested in damage repair..so to speak.

I don't really have insecurities about my looks or attractiveness but having had three children that I breastfed..one miscarraige..and I am pregnant right now has as you say taken a toll on my body. Some of that stretching is physically uncomfortable and I don't like the way it looks either.

H doesn't have an opinion..he likes the bigger post baby boobs and he liked the prebaby ones as well..so it's pretty much all me here as far as expectations go.

As for the downside..well..it is a lot of money to spend on something fairly frivolous..I wouldn't do it if it was going to require sacrifice.

I of course worry that I will be the fluke who dies from bad reaction to drugs or whatever [fill in the anxiety here]..seems like if my LIFE were at risk..I'd feel kinda stupid dying to fix my boobs ..but really..it is uncomfortable and I only expect it to become more so as the years progress so given the relative low risk of what I am considering having done..it's probably a green light at some point in the future.

Your situation sounds very different.

I wouldn't do something so drastic FOR anyone but me..and I'd definitely suggest you get some counseling before you make any plans because it sounds like you may be expecting a boob job to change your LIFE in some way.

WAT,

My H is actually somewhat of a rebel...he'll go out of his way to buy ugly clothes, he's been blessed with a full head of hair, he's more of a (good looking) geeky type and not obsessed with his own appearance...though he loves attention from women.

Resillient,

Thanks for the website information, I like to do as much research as possible with stuff like this.

Dorry,

As usual, you're right! We have a long way to go before our M is on the right track. I do wonder if it would help me feel more confident about myself. I slipped into the role of "mommy" for so long that I did forsake the sexy woman/wife side of me. H has bought me a lot of new, more feminine clothes; I think he also wants me to feel good about myself as well. He said he'd support and love me regardless of decisions I made.

Go buy some Wonderbras

they have some push-up jobbers that could hold up a Texas oil rig during a hurricaine

start there ... with sexy supportive underwear

live with those bigger boobs closer to your chin for at least 6 months...

then

if you decide to go implants ... do it for YOU

Pep

Other than AIDS, I have never seen any medical product or condition get as much non-scientific, anecdotal and pc bias as have silicone breast implants.

Again, if there were a safe and effective technique for penis enlargment, the discoverer would make Bill Gates and Warren Buffet look like pikers.

Grandmas and kids....gotta love 'em.

Defy nature? LOL!!! I've wondered 'bout that myself. Will we see a generation of loppsided women whose breast are standing tall while everything else sags? YUCK!!

H's youngest sister (less than 30) has already had about 3 operations for implants. I heard she has about a 15 year warranty on it??!?!?! Not sure what that means. But before she hits 45, she will need them replaced?!??!? Then by 65, again? Hm...... scary thought indeed.

That's not to mention all the other plastic parts in her face. When I see the plastic rings on the 6-pack of soda, I think of her.

Plastic surgery is the western form of neck stretchng and foot binding...but I bet if you showed a picture of the Padaung tribe of Burma (the women with the really long necks due to layers upon layers of gold rings) to your SIL, she would think it was an odd custom!

What mutilation women will do for sexual appeal and social status. Sigh. And there are hungry children living in L.A.

I think fake breasts look... well... fake!

They separate where real breast don't, are rather in-your-face, and kind of bobble around like those wobbly-headed dollss in the back windows of cars. They have a manufactured - synthetic if you will - appearance that detracts from the genuine loveliness of the feminine form.

To me breasts are beautiful more for their function - for what they offer - than for simply their eye appeal. A woman's breasts nurture and comfort. Fake ones just seem to catch the errant peek of strangers in WalMart.

And, why do women who get implants so often want to EVERYONE to know about them????

Good point. YSIL is a drama queen. Likes attention and will step on anyone or anything to get it. I just sent an e-mail to some of H's siblings since it is this drama queen who is currnetly stressing out her own father who has major heart issues (clogged valves, high blood pressure, etc.). She makes me sick.

These types of people don't care about anyone in need Instead it is more important to use as much $$ for themsevles as possible. Hey, maybe their s/b a campaign slogan s/b save $$, stamp out WS and OPs. LOL!!! Now I am not advocating violence....just NOT allowing aliens from that dern A mothership to take up residence on this planet.
