Dealan-de,
that was what I was worried about on the river. It is dry in our part of Texas, too. The lakes are vanishing. I would rather shop in NB, but DH really wants to do something water related and I'm not sure we want to do the water park without the kids.

I hope your oldest has a great birthday. My older one turned 19 this week. Gosh, I feel OLD when I say that.

There were not a lot of options in the hotel 'gym' They are remodeling so there is a contrustion dust everywhere so no floor exercises. I wish I had known, I would have done them up here then gone. But, I did what I could. Now, it is off to the showers for me.

HB Bekah! Build a Bear is popular with my DD. She has prolly a dozen of 'em. DS has two. His favorite is his frog named Jorge. It was named after his bus driver.

I walked last night with H and the dog. Sit ups this am. I made stuffed shells for din din last night but only ate one. I went and got the kids chocolate shakes and didn't even take one taste. Sounded good though

MF have fun. Jel, beach again? Do you wear a bathing suit? I would not get into one at this point, ugh!

The water park is BEST w/out kids.

(did I write that out loud? they'd shoot me if they knew my secret longing is to go to Disney w/out them)

MF - B is one of my middles...my oldest is 16...and I TKNYM about feeling old when I write that.

But I'm well preserved for my years.

Must've been all that liquor on 6th St in the 90s...(hehe)

I do, and yes, it's a bikini. Right now, I where a cling top over it, that is why I'm on the kick of losing some weight, I like to wear a bikini without feeling self-conscious. Don't we all.

The only reason I would have to wear a bikini would be if i wanted a private beach- I'd scare everyone else away.

Tomorrow DH and I are going to go float on the river in a tube. Can we say 'joy, joy' NOT

Hmm that is about 6 hours plus at about 2 hours drive time- that will give me at least 8 of the 15 hours. And I will be meeting his need for RC.

I guess we'll pack a picnic in the cooler. I am not sure how healthy that will be.

Today was ok to be eating ot 3 meals a day.

Not sure I will weigh for a few days after I get back.

what a day- 7 hours in a tube butt bumping the Guadelupe River. I did get quite the upper body work out from paddling aand from lifting my self up when we got to the rocks- which was often.

Let me just say I saw more skin today that anyone should display- there were large women in bikinis- women that made me look small in bikinis. It was NOT pretty.

I heard the F word more times today than I have ever heard it.

There was a group of underaged kids floating by asking for beer. My DH offered them some water which they refused. A little later, they figured out how to get beer from a bunch of guys- they flashed their breasts- I was so embaassed for them.

DH got a sun burn but I managed to only get a couple of spots that are red. It was so hot, I didn't even want the snack food we carried. So, today I think turned out to be a fairly decent food day. We went to IHOP and had a nice big breakfast so I was not really ready to eat til supper. We had italian so I skipped the pasta so I could eat the yummy bread.

I know I did not get my water in, though. It was not something you wanted to have a lot of stuck in the river, ya know?

Tomorrow is a new day. I'll guzzle water in the late afternoon so we don't have to stop every few minutes on our way home.

ok, here goes... time to catch up...

"FL- you take this accountability thing serious, dang."

yes. is that bad???

sounds like you are doing fine with your food, good for you. i'll have to read on to see if you ever did go running

Your appitite will slow down as you continue to eat less. i hear the best thing is to eat more often but small amounts.

ok, here is something i have decided lately might not be so bad... my mom and i used to have it when i was small and i have made it for my kids.

1 cup of milk, 1 cup of water, can of frozen OJ concentrate, a teaspoon (maybe less, i don't actually measure it) of vanilla. mix in blender and then add a bunch of ice. the original recipe also calls for 1 cup of sugar but i now make it with 0 sugar and i think it is still good. so do the kids. i have a small glass when i first make it and then even better, i put it in the freezer for a frosty treat later. just a little makes me feel like i have had a nice treat. i guess i would have to total up the calories and then divide by the number of servings i turn it in to to be sure, but i'm thinking it is not too high in calories.

on the topic of: build a bear. did it twice, once with the girl scout troop and once with my son. both times was a bunch of fun. i foget how old he was at the time but my DS did enjoy it and he still had the bear on his bed. he is 12 now.

happy b-day to your DD. my daughters name is rebecca, different spelling but about the same name mine is 16 already!!!

great job on your exercising and another lb lost, go you!!

i have not bought the dvd's yet, i'll have to look at ebay again. i was away from computer since thurs night.

b-day cake is definitely a must have for a mom!! i hope you enjoyed.

jelly, i love racquetball!! you are only 29!!! try losing when you are 42, opps make that 43.... wow, i'm old!!! lol

by the way, where is your ticker???

Hi ya MF. your DD is 19, OMG. mine is getting so close to being all grown up too. I can't stand the thought of mine graduating HS and going to college.

Hi FF, looks like your ticker is going down, yeah!!! oh so did kimmy's woo hoo.

i'll be updating mine tommorow.

FF, great job on running by the way.

I did enjoy my day off. we are back in town early this weekend. i'm about to go on a long bike ride. really hot here though, i'll have to bring water, that is for sure.

MF, that was quite a trip. i hope DH enoyed it. it is good to meet his RC need!!

jelly... i don't think i ever saw if you did go running or not... gonna tell us??

as for me, my food was not great friday and sat but is good today and i intend to keep it that way. the thing is, even though it was not great, it was not that bad. which is better than what i used to do... at best it i would be not that bad and then my bad days would be really bad. so i'm making progress, don't ya think? did you actually follow what i said??? lol

have a great sunday all. post again tommorow.

good morning losers...

well, my ticker has not moved down.

but the good news is..

it did not have to move up either

weekdays are easier for me than weekends, so i'm sure the next time i check the scale (thurs am), i'll be able to update my ticker then.

here is a funny story: i did not have a fabulous night of sleep, however, at one point in my dreams, i tasted some really good barbeque pulled pork (or was it chicken, i'm not sure). all the flavor. no calories.

My ticker's run WAY down.

That is even after having a smidge of cookie cake and a dollop of chocolate ice cream....and a bourbon and water...hehe. The bourbon and water was right before bed after the party yesterday. Figured with all those insane kids (and yes, the Wookie counted as 2 insane kids), I'd earned it.

I weighed last night when we got home from Austin- I Was up 10 pounds! I know it has to be water since I didn't drink hardly any all weekend.

This morning I was down 4, so only up 6. I did better today on food.

Tomorrow I go on south beach. It works great for me.

Today I did go to water aerobis and it was my last day of work. I am now my own boss!

Now, I just have to turn a profit. Scary.

DH is being wonderfully supportive of it, though.

He is going to so south beach with me, too. That helps me.

I'm really proud of all of you making your tickers move in the right direction.
