Provided some final comments on our settlement agreement today... felt good.
Closing in 13 days on the second home. All issues that the buyer wanted fixed are complete. Going up next weekend to relax and pick up some personal stuff.
She's out March 3rd, the first Saturday in March so that getting help moving won't be an issue. She'll start her visitation on March 10.
I'll start my abbreviated schedule at work on March 3rd.
Should be relatively seamless... so far so good.
My health has really improved over the last couple weeks. Losing more weight and feel literally 10 years younger... not that I'm that old anyway.
Funny though, yesterday, I was talking to the wife and she actually got upset at me for telling my family and friends about her behavior. I just smiled and laughed a little. She just doesn't get it and I doubt ever will. I guess I was supposed to keep everything all bottled up to protect her. Clueless... the poor SOB she's with now doesn't realize he's being tied more securely to the tracks with every SF event, only to be run over. Well, I like to think that God threw the switch before she got to my soul. She's only made me stronger.
Here's to happier days...

One additional thought after my conversations with her today.
She will use the kids got try and get me to do things for her STILL!!! She's now blaming me for her affairs again, much like day one.
Funny thing when you take back your feelings... you're careful to give any of them back.

Walt, no dating, in groups, or alone until you are divorced, and have adjusted to living on your own. Give yourself time to heal. Don't worry about not finding someone, the MB guys go like hotcakes.

Sounds good. But its nice to be more open-minded than before... what I'm getting at is I see a value to both me and my children in being open and ultimately involved in a HEALTHY, RESPECTFUL relationship.
I'll get back to that later... much later.

All good!
Her narcissistic ways are so predictable. I see the light so much more than I did before. Her relationships with ANYONE are poor and shallow.
I could literally post something every day.
What a dismal future ahead for her...

The closing on our second home is done. A huge checkmark next to that one!
More progress.
I feel really good.

Good Job Walt!
I bet that's one big relief.
Take the kids out tonight and celebrate a little! (age appropriate of course.)

A relief is a good word. Bitter-sweet, but the friends I've made through the process have been fantastic! My last weekend up there I brought a friend of mine and his girlfriend. We went out after skiing, had a blast, met people, etc. Then I met my now former neighbors for the first time! I will look back on that place as a great experience in my life.
Finalized the Property Settlement Agreement on Friday. It will be sent to my wife and her attorney.
The clouds are clearing rapidly. The future looks AWESOME! I'm getting healthier every day.
Funny story, I was at a social event yesterday. It's been great with friend wanting to set me up. "Thanks, but not yet" has been my standard response. No dating til its over, but looking forward to it for sure. Even my daughter is encouraging me after seeing the nightmare I've been put through! I think deep down inside she want so witness a healthy relationship at some point, but anyway...
I was talking to a friend at this event and found out that when we went out in the fall, the wife and my buddy's wife went outside for a smoke. Well, that was back in early October. I just found out yesterday, that the STBXW was BRAGGING about her affairs and that she was "having fun".
This piece of garbage needs to be set out to the curb.
She's officially out on March 3. Nineteen more days... but who's counting? Well... actually, I am, my family, friends, daughter, colleagues...
Then she asked me over the weekend if I'm going to accuse her of "abandonment" and go after more money for CS, etc. I told her that if she fights, I'm fighting back... otherwise, I just want to do what we agreed on. We'll probably get out of this with a divorce bill of $6 or $7K between the two of us. Not bad...
Got alot of plans brewing. Going on a solo retreat later this year to St. John ALL BY MYSELF! A week to clear my head and celebrate my re-birth into the world.
Life is good... and getting better...
Thank you all.

18 more days...
Life just keeps getting better. Met a woman this morning and had a very deep discussion about my spirituality, my children, my STBXW, and most importantly... my future.
God had a very creative way of injecting these people into my life. I walked away, did the sign of the cross, teared up a bit, and thanked God for everything.
Surrendering to God was the most important choice I made in my recovery from this minor setback.
Something to consider...

Just wanted you to know that I've been following this thread as well but everyone has said what I'm thinking! Very interesting ride you've been on. I'm sorry your situation couldn't have a more healthy outcome for the sake of your children but then I suppose a future healthy relationhip will certainly help. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> You're doing very well. Best to you.

Last night was a little rough. Had a game with my son (I help coach), and called home because I was going to go food shopping. Well, my STBXW starts yelling at my daughter for talking to her while she's on the phone.
I went home, picked up my daughter, and the three of us went food shopping together, checked labels, made good healthy choices, etc.
8 more days...
