Happy Big Day Replay...celebrating your daily rebirth, Rin!

You sound solid and centered...happy to hear about the carnival and the fun...noticed your Dad's apology...and saw the anticipatory drool for the filet mignon...

I can relate. I empathetically drooled with you...all over my keyboard.

You are all so great! Adding to my great B-day...I will take one bit for each of you tonight and savor the taste! LOL

"Do you guys have lots of birthday traditions or anything in your family?"

No, sure don't! It's always a surprise, I love surprises! You never know what's going to happen! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

"You sound solid and centered...happy to hear about the carnival and the fun...noticed your Dad's apology."

I feel GREAT AND SOLID...I feel like I know where I'm headed, what my payoff is now! I get that it's REALLY not about me and I'm fine!

We really enjoyed ourselves at the fair and laughed so much! F's had gotten to the age where I enjoy having a conversation with him! I enjoy his company!

I was a little surprised that H apologized...LOL...I took note and thanked him.

FROG- I'm so having trouble with calling you Frog instead of HL! Who taught you to lie like that? LMAO Actually, I get carded all the time...accused of being 16! LMAO

It's a beautiful day! My mom has TMed me 3 times with the Happy Birthday SOng! I'm loving this!

Thanks again to you all.

Life's an adventure...ENJOY!

Well get used to it. I will be frog for a while now.

My FWW actually called me the other day when I asked her to buy me a pack of smokes. They carded her.

I am glad you are having a good day.

Happy Birthday Rin!

I hope your day is good and enjoyable. As far as getting carded, my wife has people thinking our son is her brother, and we started at the new school last year some of the mom's thought she had a kid in Kindergarten, not 6th grade (at the time).

So if you get carded, take it as a compliment <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi, again! MY YS, MIL, and FIL sent me a half dozen of red long stem roses! I love these people! They are just awesome!

H and I did go to lunch. I got to pick where and it didn't matter where. He said I could even pick Subway if I wanted to! I chose a local truck stop that was great plate lunch...LOL...well, it wasn't so great today!

H didn't even eat, just sat there with me.On the way home, my Smom called and wished me a HB! So, I ended up talking to her for the reminder of lunch, not a whole lot of time with him. My Sdad called when I got to work and a friend, then the flowers, so I would say the day's been GREAT!

I'm loving sharing it with you guys too!

Guess who came by my office with my B-day present?

H, with a pair of motorcycle riding chaps! he used a lot of effort today! The first pair he got was too big. he returned them and came back with an extra small. Well, they are a little too small...LOL...I'll have to get a size small. H is on his way to the house to nap before work and I'm going to return them for the proper size tomorrow!

He went to two places before he got the first pair. I give him an A for effort! He's has more time in the past and hasn't gotten me anything for my B-day! H stating when did I have time to buy you anything! So, I'm very happy with my present today! He said he still wishes that he didn't have to work tonight so that we could celebrate.

Rin,

Just a point of clarification. It is not an A for effort it is an E for effort. LOL. You have kids you should know that.

Good for him and good for you. Hold on to this.

Maybe he is starting to see the light through the fog.

You old bag. LOL.

Watch out FROG, I'll have to come over in my chaps and kick your butt! LOL

I'm going to be nice tonight and order him a filet to go, and F and I will bring it to work for him. It's better then sandwiches...LOL...or fast food. No special effort on me part...a matter of convenience really...but I do think it would be nice.

Maybe he is but like you've said until you see that constant pattern, I'm not jumping for joy!

I realize the value of: "It is what it is!" Remember I was reading into everything? I don't know how many times I was fused by you for that! LOL

I'd also recommend this other book I'm reading, I can't remeber the author's name but it's good. A whole chapter on Sex Again, and the last chapter is on forgiveness!

The butt kicking line forms on the left. Sooner or later I am going to put one of those ticket machines with the numbers so people don't have to wait in line so long to take their turns. Now serving number 1,992.

Good thinking. Hold on and view it for what it is "something different today." Hopefully it will be different tomorrow but in a good way.

You don't have to jump for joy. Maybe a little skip in your step would be ok. LOL.

You are very right about the skip or perhaps a bounce in my step! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'll help you look for the ticket machine should I visit any flea markets! LMAO

It was wierd the way it all came together what you have been saying about you're 180, what H has been saying, and what I've been doing! What I've read on PA Behavior, carol's thread...I was driving for hours, and it just hit me...H said that it killed him that I didn't say two words to him, the day before...then here he is being all loving...and I thought about how Carol had him chase after her and thought...I'm in a perfect postion!

I thought about it that night and thoughts about some firm boundaries and so far so good. It was strange having that bell go off and knowing how to do it!

What a tool to use, HUh?

Yes it is a good tool. Be careful though. It is like spiderman. He had all these powers that were new to him but didn't know how to use them all.

If you use them to make your M better you are using them for good. LOL. Be careful not to punish with the new powers.

Good Morning!

AmI, the filet was awesome, served with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed aspagnes (?). We had dessert and F was a fabulous date! His manners were awesome, he kept his elbows off the table, was very polite, and just great!

I had the best B-day I've had in a long time.

Just an update...

H had been complainting for several days that we don't have any time to spend together and said this morning that one of us needs to take a day off soon, so we can do so. He's been calling the past few nights just to talk, supporting me with Al-Anon.

Oh, I got back from my dad's an the freezer was back in the house! I finished my book and he placed it on his side of the sofa. What he does from there is on him. He's been great all around...letting me know what he's been doing, going, even his phone calls...

We talked some this morning. He sayd that he's not happy when I get off early and come home and go to sleep with him, b/c he's not even aware that I'm there. I said that it was fine with me b/c I'm happy just being next to him, but apparently it's not meeting his need for QT. So, that will have to change somehow, I'm sure that we will come up with something.

All in all, I have been very happy the past few days. I did trigger yesterday, but talked myself out of it but reading my Al-Anon book. I'm happy that I was able to do that instead of picking a fight with H, something I would have done. I read about it in "After the A" on how to handle sitchs like like. If I would have picked a fight it would have pushed H away and only contributed to the problems.

My trigger was the home phone being where it was suppose to! I don't even have anything in the A that realates to the home phone. It was just a fear that jumped up at me, so I feel like I handle it really good. I called H to let him know that I was bring him lunch and just asked about the location of the phone. He said he was just trying to put all the phone where they go; we have three.

well, I'll be around a bit today. I have a lot of things to do at work, but will manage some time to check back.

Everyone has been so wonderful, I really appreciate all of the support that I have gotten over the past few months.

LA-I have to give you a special thank you for recommending Al-Anon. It has made a world of difference in my life. Not only am I learning, but I'm making new friends. It's just the kind of thing I've been looking for some time!

Oh, when asking for a sponsor, am I looking for just someone that clicks with me? There is one lady who has a great deal of my characterists, and she been in it for 4 1/2 years. That little perfectionist/achiever just stands tall with the both of us. Should I ask someone who's been in it longer?

Well, let me so, I've already got a list of things to do this morning. Hope evertone has a great day!

Morning, Rin!

Ask her to sponsor you...clicking is part familiarity and part respect...you can change sponsors, too, so it isn't the only shot you get.

<img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You're very welcome...give YOURSELF the big hug of gratitude because you were the one who listened and chose...and you're going. And you're the one who asked to be directed to a new group, who were working on their lives, marriages, families and living in the present. God provides the way, the means and the choice...you did the rest.

I think Al-Anon models respectful connection, healthy boundaries and ownership. Which is the basis of all relationships in our lives...whether we know it or not!

<img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

So, did you have the filet medium rare? Was it good? AmI and I nearly dehydrated from drool...

I wonder if that's a medical term...drool dehydration...along side parched pallette.

I'm glad F was a great date and I hope your work is going well for you.

Thinking of you,

LA

LMAO...WARNING...drink water before reading! It's for your health! LOL

"So, did you have the filet medium rare?"

Yes, I DID! Melt in your mouth...seasoned to perfection...almost like I couldn't believe it was meat kind of AWESOWE!
