I appologise that I didn't reply specifically to you earlier.
While it may be the case that my XW is spared some discomfort by the fact that I don't discuss the A with our child, it certainly is not a choice I make for XW's benefit. Thus, I'm not protecting her. I'm protecting my child. There will be a time for discussions with DD about this, but I'm not sure that the time is now.
Does that make sense?

Yes, AD but what I was talking about was the marriage to the OM. I think because of the emotional immaturity of your xW, YOU will be the one to tell your Dd. That is what I was referring to. I am glad your Dd has you.
