Her divorce was final as of early December. But yeah, it is the same girl.

I am taking things slow. It's important to me that I do so, because I took things far too quickly with my WW, and we all know how that ended up. If something is going to happen with this girl, it'll happen no matter what. I just want to make sure it happens right.

I hope you all are here for me as I tread these new waters, and are willing to continue giving me advice as I go on with my life. I appreciate everyone who has helped me very much; I know I was hardheaded there for awhile. I'm past that now. I'm ready to move on.

Thanks, everyone.

Rogue,

Good to hear from you and that you are doing well. Where are you in regards to the D of the WW. I know that this shouldn't be a problem given the circumstances and all but do you have all of your ducks in a row regarding custody of your son, your finances, and such. You should require her to pay child support (that's the least she can do since the only other thing she's done is act as an egg donor).

One day your WW will regret this and likely have a melt down but you will not have to worry about it. Watch out for the new relationships. Make sure that you are ready. Anyone meeting your needs that have gone unmet for so long are going to look "wonderful".

PS I also got D'd and have full custody of our 23 month old. I always kept up with your case as you and I were both fathers that while fighting for our M were dead set on protecting our children from the actions of WW's no longer desiring to be the mothers that God intended them to be.

God bless,

So far, the D is on hold. I'm stuck financially and so I have to wait a week or so before I can move on. I want to get it out of the way, so I can start forcing her to pay me child support. Right now, she always has some sort of problem that prevents her from helping me with anything, and that just isn't going to fly.

Ultimately, she can't afford to hire a lawyer, but I can, if I need to, so I'm hoping to use that leverage to get her to agree to my desires. I don't expect to win full custody, and in order to avoid a lengthy and nasty custody case in court, I'm just going to go for primary custody now and let my WW whittle away her rights over the months... she'll be too busy with work, her 'social life,' her 'boyfriend,' and all the other problems that plague her life to be able to ever see her son (last time she saw him was Dec. 26, and that was only for 5 minutes), and I'll document it all. One of these days I'll just take all that evidence to Family Services and she'll lose custody completely.

As for the new relationships.. I know I'm not ready for a serious relationship. Right now, I'm looking to take a break, do some casual dating, meet some people, enjoy myself. I'm not interested in finding a new wife right now. It's still too early. I'm even making sure that I keep this girl I'm seeing out at arm's reach, emotionally speaking, because I know it would be waaaay to easy to let her in, and I don't want to hurt her or be hurt by her. She's too good a person for that.
