Your support is firing me up BIG TIME!
Only 22 more to go before I start to fine tune. I really want abs dang it!
I also get braces later this year. Then veneers (sp?) for the smile I've always wanted.
The weight loss is a huge accomplishement for me though. It's great not being recognized in the grocery store of my home town! There's a HUGE emotional weight that gets lost with the physical weight. Those with a life-long weight problem know what I'm talking about.
Thanks again for all your great support! International, eh? That's awesome!

Oh, and weaver... about my daughter. She saw me doing this and we developed a healthy eating plan for her. She's lost 10 pounds and looks and feels healthy and fantastic!
We talk about it all the time and how important good eating and exercising habits are to being a happy person.
She said that we were close before, and all this has only made us even closer!
I'm so lucky.

Had a perfect eating day yesterday. Can't wait to update this thread with my further progress.
Thank you all so much for your support.
To keep the weight coming off, I've changed my workout routine and made some dietary changes to keep my body guessing. Got a swat on the but with the dish cloth last night... I'd consider that progress...

Walt good for you.
One of the most important parts of my diet was specific periods of calorie boosts. When I hit a period with no weight loss I purposely increased my intake of calories to trick my body. LOL.
Ok I pigged out but it was great. Then right back to the diet and the weight just kept coming off.
The other thing is realize that in order to lose a pound a week you need to take in 500 calories a day less then your body needs to sustain your current weight. So at your heaviest weight that might have been say 2500 calories a day. So going to 2000 calories a day will let you lose the pound a week. As you lose weight your body needs less calories to sustain your current weight. Maybe now you only need 2000 calories to sustain your current weight but you need to go down to 1500 calories a day to keep losing.
I hope that made sense. Thats why the always say the last few pounds are the hardest. Yes because that is when you really have to sacrafice. LOL.

Blondblossom... YOU have made my DAY!!!
That's the nicest thing anyone's "said" to me in a while.
I'd give you a big hug if you were here, but consider this a "cyberhug".
Thanks again...

I just noticed these and wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your accomplishments. It looks like different men in your before and after shots. You really are a very handsome guy.
It is great that you have inspired your daughter and this mutual goal has helped to draw you closer.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Trix!!!
However, I have hit a plateau after those pictures and I'm the same weight for the past 3.5 weeks... but I'm very comfortable at this weight, continue to exercise, and I know eventually, I'll lose the last 20 pounds I'd like to lose.
Life is good...

WOW, I'd notice you in the mall!
Great JOB! What A Plan A!
What I learned about plateau is that you need to do a few days of high calories, but that's just my experience. Best Wishes!

Just got a haircut during lunch. Somehow weddings, relationships, divorce, infidelity, etc. came up. I usually keep this stuff pretty private, but figured what the heck. I told her that I was getting a divorce, told her the wife was unfaithful, I tried, etc.
The woman has a daughter my age who's also divorced (several years ago) and complimented me on my demeanor and looks, then asked if I'd be interested in meeting her daughter.
Flattering, but NO FREAKIN' WAY (right now...)
The compliments are flattering both here and in person. Makes you walk a little taller each time after feeling quite beaten for a while.
I'm on the shelf and have alot of other issues to sift through.
Someday though... no hurry.

Ok, I've been around the same weight for about a month and a half now. Feel good.
I'm a little off from my goals, but I'm at a weight and size that I'm comfortable with... but it's time to turn up the heat!!!
This week I've had five perfect eating days and exercised four of the five days... right on track. I weigh in on Sunday to see where I'm at.
Can't wait to drop the next 20 pounds!
