Yeah, it's Florida. The highest point in Florida is only about 180ft above sea level at the FL/AL border is memory serves me right.

The highest point is in the panhandle of Florida, but I think it is less than 350 feet above mean sea level. The next highest point is in central FL, and it is 320 ft above MSL.

SD...that is the Waffle House!! I am staying the Holiday Inn right across from them.

As to Florida being the flatest state...at least they have Fire Ant mounds to break up the scenery. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm doing alright. Just tired. Didn't get in until late and had to get up early (I think I got about 4.5 hours of sleep), but I finished the training.

Now I am just killing time until tomorrow morning when I go home.

So, in reality, the highest point in Florda, is one of the hotels along Miami Beach? Or the tip of the shuttle, prepared for launch?

Dog, if I'd have known, I might have been able to come up and show you around KC, just for grins. I'm just over in Topeka.

Listen to 2long, send your W a positive TM, to let her know you are thinking of her. In fact, "thinking of you" wouldn't be a bad start.

We're hanging in there with you. I can't believe 2long let me get away with my "elevated" remarks about Ks without another shot?

Best wishes,
SD

bitbucket, you need to put a trip to Kansas on your list...God's country...fresh air, blue skies, 17 degrees and a 5 below wind chill! But it could be 65 degrees with tornado watch by Saturday... LOL! There's a couple of hills over by Junction City, for your amusement.

LOL... we get the very "best" of all seasons. During a typical year we can get temps down to 5-7 below zero and up to 105-110 in the heat of summer. It is windy here most of the time. We will have a period each winter with wind chill between 20-30 below zero.

However, May and June are fabulous, though breezy, and the weather between September 15 and November 15 is Godgiven, and is very close to paradise.

The rest is closer to ******! LOL!

I just know that when I was waiting for the rental car van at Kansas City Airport, I thought my ears were going to fall off.

DF,

Have you talked to you WW at all since your arrived in the wonderful midwest? Isn't it lovely this time of year (actually it could be in the single digits or it could be in the 60s, it's a total crapshoot)?

Nope, I have sent a few text messages, but they have gone unresponded to. I decided to give her a little space while I am gone.
I will see her tomorrow, tho

DF:

FH's post a few pages back was right on the money, including:

Quote
I am the "opposite" of 2Long with respect to the faith in God issue, I AM a Christian who believes in the sanctity of marriage and the Christian concept of servanthood (especially as it pertains to a husband/wife scenario).

Yes, we are opposites. I'm spiri2al and open-minded. FH is religious.
