yeah, while it is the most solved violent crime 64 %... that still leaves 36% unsolved. And the vast majority of murders are not very well thought out. Crime shows have their place... they are informative... but many times a case has so little infor to go on... well, it just wouldn't make good TV. There are a lot of times as a cop when you KNOW who did it... but there is no way to prove it. It's just a fact of life.
As far as murder being casually discussed here... it is all tongue in cheek... so lighten up a bit Mysc... or just change channels.

myschae - These are FANTASIES of committing murder. It is something I would never do. But you are probably right - not a good thing to discuss, because someone might get ideas.

People discussing stuff here in this fashion are very unlikely to commit murder... it's those one that NEVER say anything that you have to worry about snapping. "I never saw it coming..."

I understand that you mean this to be 'funny.' And, it really might be if it was such an outlandish idea to people who are in pain than no one ever did it. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

I realize the OP of this thread was just being funny, too. I enjoyed his post. I am afraid, though, about other people who might read this thread and, in a moment of desperation, decide to do something tragic.

Murder does not have a place in MB philosphies. I am emailing a moderator to inquire as to whether or not this site has any specific policies on discussing "how to" commit violent crimes on this message board.

I feel very strongly about this. I'm just going to be a stick in the mud about it.

There are lots of people who read and don't post.

And your experience with crime and law enforcement is what?

And trust me... no one is giving a how to... that would be very deatiled and done in a more private fashion. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

myschae,

I think at some point, EVERY BS here has thoughts of inflicting bodily injury or of killing their WS and the OP. Writing about it tongue-in-cheek is a way to step back and laugh about it, AND NOT DO IT.

God only knows the many sinful thoughts sifting through my mind when I think about the A, but I have yet to lift a finger against the OW yet (and probably never will).

I find the way committing murder is being so casually discussed on this thread to be very disturbing. There is no doubt that affairs cause strong emotions but this sort of matter of fact discussion of how likely it is to get away with taking the life of another human being is way, way, beyond anything that can be considered "marriage support."

I empathize with the strong emotions that might make someone think about "killing" someone. If you find these thoughts to be persistant or start planning something then I strongly recommend you find a counselor to help you find ways to channel that anger out. It is NOT OK to kill another human being -- even if that person was involved in destroying your marriage.

Murder is wrong. It's not "cool" and it's not a solution to your problem.

I have explained my concern about the content of this thread. I have reported the thread and emailed a moderator for clarification. I leave it now to the decisions of the MB moderation staff to determine whether the thread stays or not. I can live with either decision.

I won't continue to derail your topic.

I understand that people have different opinions and I respect them. I am not asking anyone to stop posting, change their mind, or stop finding this funny or valuable.

myschae - You know I have nothing but respect for you. I'll refrain from posting more about this.

It could be hurtful to someone who has had a loved one murdered also.
