I need help with Plan B. Specifically:

Are you supposed to get a LSA?

Orchid: LSA and plan B are different options. You get LSA because it is a protection step for your family. While plan B is also a protection step, LSA is the legal route. So you can do it together with LSA or not. We were separated but I did not initiate a LSA. He paid towards child care and it sufficed but I went to plan B later when it got t/b more than I could emotionally handle. My mind and heart were in sync, my boundaries identified and I was ready to implement plan B for my sanity.

I'm a SAHM, how does support work?

Orchid: He is still financially obligated to suppport your family. If he doesn't (which is common), you had better have a back up plan for supporting your family.

I'm working on a letter and will post for help soon.

Orchid: Make sure the letter covers the main points of plan B. Outline NC and conditions. Not open for discussion. Let him know that 'WHEN' he comes to his senses, IF you are available to listen you might. Yep....no commitment.

JMHO,
L.
