Marie,

I agree with Mimi.....please post as often as you can.

This thread appears to include posts from many of the MB All Stars. We need all of you veterans, pros, recovering and recovered who can inspire us to keep going towards any ray of hope.

I'm sure I speak for the masses of us newbies who have the mixed privilege of finding these forums during our devastating days.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMITMENT TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES AND ADVICE WITH ALL OF US. We appreciate you more than you can know. Please keep up your great efforts.

Ace-- as asked, I've posted my thoughts (re: triggers) on your thread. I'm hoping it helps. Although, in skimming your thread, it appears as though you already have a pretty good handle on things.

Mimi-- in regards to Sopranos/Carmella: I'm a little hesitant to post my thoughts regarding Carmella, as her initial reaction to Tony's A was full of rude lovebusting and seems to go against the MB Principles, but I do believe that in HER SITUATION, verbalizing her anger and humiliation in the way that she did was quite possibly the ONLY WAY to get Tony's attention. Let's face it-- Carmella was a kind, patient, good, and caring wife to Tony (and she COOKS too!). Heck, I'd marry her .

That's what makes it enjoyable..Carmella ACTS OUT FOR ME...I identify with her age and stage ISSUES..and I think my DH identifies SOME with Tony for those and OTHER REASONS..he's not a CRIMINAL, though...

Marie, you don't cook????

Yoo Hoo, Marie!! Nice to see you!

I read your post on Sis's thread, and yeah, the f-bomb was shocking to my sensitive sensibililties , but the content was spot-on and I really appreciated your thoughts.

I find that these days, I get more irked when posters do what I used to do all the time myself ::: Care-taking, enabling and parenting of adults. (I am reminded of that saying: We hate most in others what we hate in ourselves - or something like that.)

Ah well, I could go on and on... and all I really want to say is "Hey! Nice to see you!"

NB II: Hello! I've missed the "MB Ladies." I somehow lost my privileges to post/view threads there . But, nice to see you here!... it's kinda been like a reunion.

Mimi: my H is also a high-powered businessman (had the whole "entitlement" thing going on when it came to his A). ICK!

Speaking of H, we are off to Vegas early tomorrow morning for some much needed couple-time and fun/relaxation.

I plan on checking back in on MB when I return, as this has been therapeutic for me.

~Marie
