as far as movies...pretty much just kiddie movies....bridge to terabythia....not for the very young...content is rather mature for the little ones...I found out AFTER of course, so those with little ones beware and read the reviews first.

not so new but "wedding crashers" was pretty funny...love owen wilson...and "inside job" was awesome!!!

been dying to see dreamgirls...but have yet to actually carry out that plan.

hey can we play silly party games like we did in grade school. I'll start....here's the orange under the chin...pass <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Hey, Striven! I'm only 4ft. 10in. down here--bend down a little!!

I have great plans for the weekend. The whole family is convening in the living room in our jammies and fuzzy slippers for a Space Ghost-a-thon. We will be watching 9 hours straight of Space Ghost as well as eating junk food until we're sick. )Sure hope there are some Adult Swim fans out there who know what I'm talking about!)

Who wants the orange from the short chick??

DD19 and I are still going to Frozen Dead Guy Days. Maybe I could bring Wayzilla along and leave her in the Tuff Shed.

Oh goodie.... back from work and the soiree is still on.

I take that orange... Friends saw the movie "Because I said so" and thought it was really good. She actually said dhe would see it again.

I want to see Wild Hogs also.

The only thing with Owen Wilson is his realtionship with oh my I'm losing my mind.... Goldie Hawns daughter. Showing my age.

Got the orange, it accentuates my double chin...

Yeah, sdguy, you're right about that one, if your AD makes you drowsy, I wouldn't suggest you have more than one drink, unless you are at home, or someone who is trustworthy is driving.

I would love to go see Wild Hogs. One of my friends saw it and said it was HILARIOUS. I love all of the actors (John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, Bill Macy and hmmmm, oh yeah, Tim Allen) ooooooo, and Marisa Tomei, I mean, I may be a woman, but she is yummy. I've always thought she was a great actress.

Oh, speaking of good romantic comedies, "My Cousin Vinny" has to be one of the best. I mean, the part where Vinny says "the two yutes" man I love that. And I love when Vinny is fighting with his girlfriend about the dripping faucet. Great flick...

I love the idea about the shirt that glows under black light, kind of a subliminal message for everyone ELSE to see. I'd just have a finger pointing up toward WH, and I'm with stupid printed on the shirt, maybe KICK ME printed on the back...

FB,

That's right Kate Hudson.... I knew her name until it came time to type it.

LilSis... I cheat on my AD and drink socially. 1-2 drinks should be ok.

OOOPS, made orange juice...now I'm messy and caused my team to lose...

New game...not it (tag)

My friend also said Wild Hogs was very funny...

Another couple of my all time favorites for comedies...Shaghai Noon and Shanghai Knights, with the first one being the better of the two...Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson are hysterical...Also make sure you watch the bloopers at the end of the movie...the bathtub scene is tooo muh!

just pulled out my DVD collection:

The Beastmaster - for some reason I loved this growing up. Just a classic for me now.

A Beautiful Mind - Wow, powerful story of courage and love.

Laugh out loud comedy - can't beat Dumb and Dumber. Hey, wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?

Forrest Gump - For some reason his relationship with Jenny reminds me of my relationship with WW.

Ocean's Eleven and Twelve are great comedy/crime spoofs.

The Patriot - A man defends his country and his family.

Spaceballs - classic Mel Brooks

The Passion of the Christ - the ultimate love story.

Divorced on 3/25/2008 but I have primary legal and physical custody of my 2 kids.

No one asked but;

Chrisners Movie List in no Particular Order or Classification that you may not think of every day (if ever):

A Christmas Story – A genuine Red Ryder 200 shot, carbine action air rifle designed to shoot your eye out with.

Kingdom of Heaven – Best Orlando Bloom Movie. w/Liam Neeson, Eva Green ….mmmmmmmmm eva

The Court Jester – Danny Kaye in one of the greatest comedies ever. Period.

Father of the Bride and Roxanne – Steve Martin’s best

Sleepy Hollow – Johnny Depp, funny, scary and visual.

Edward Scissorhands – Depp and Vincent Price in his last movie

Silverado – Kevin Kline, Danny Glover, a young Kevin Costner, John Cleese and Brian Dennehy. How can you miss?

Jeremiah Johnson – Robert Redford and Will Geer in arguably one of the best westerns made.

Rudy – DD19 always referred to Sam and Frodo as Rudy and Frodo.

Hoosiers – Hey I coach basketball and nothing touches this movie.

The Cowboys – John Wayne’s best along with True Grit and the Shootist

Time After Time – A forgotten time travel movie with Malcolm (Clockwork Orange) McDowell

Breaking Away – Dennis Christopher singing Italian Opera on a racing bike.

The Frighteners – A forgotten but really good Michael J Fox comedy horror.

Big Trouble in Little China – A Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall cult classic

Dracula – The Coppola version. Great cast. Gary Oldman is perfect.

Groundhog Day – I know everyone will argue but it is Bill Murray’s best.

Galaxy Quest – One of the most under rated comedies ever. I hate how Sigourney Weaver’s uniform keeps deteriorating through the movie exposing more and more of her.

Whale Rider – A great family film. The young girl played by Kiesha Castle Hughs is fantastic.

Outlaw Josie Wales – My favorite Eastwood (I like Pale Rider too)

Last of the Mohicans – I saw this in a theater and when Daniel Day Lewis tells Madeline Stowe that she must survive and he would return a woman in the audience stood up and shouted “I’ll be here.”

Quigley Down Under – Another under appreciated western with Tom Selleck. Allen Rickman is a really great bad guy.

Enemy at the Gates – Jude Law and Ed Harris in a scary authentic war movie.

Much Ado About Nothing – Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh (pre divorce) This is a fun movie.

The Long Riders – If for nothing else just the music by Ry Cooder. Crossroads is a terrible movie with some of the best music ever by Ry Cooder.

Rob Roy – One of the best films no one has seen.

Open Range – Duvall and Costner with Annette Benning in a really great western.

Aliens – Maybe the best action movie made.

The Burbs – This is my favorite Tom Hanks with Carrie Fisher.

Chick Flicks that can keep a guys attention:
Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice – Emma Thompson, Kate Winslett and Keira Knightly. Ouch.

Ooh, not a Plan Ber or even a Plan Aer but a Recoverder (but hey, Pep felt she could post here.)

A Christmas Story - saw it again this Christmas. What a LOVELY movie.

Breaking Away - another wonderful movie. Small but perfectly formed.

The Frighteners was filmed here (in New Zealand) as was LOTR by our WONDERFUL director Peter Jackson.

ANYTHING with Robert Duvall. Gee guys, he's bald but OMG he's goregous.

There's another movie I love with a guy who is really, really famous and I'VE FORGOTTEN HIS NAME. The Cabana Boy?? OMG, I'm going to be so embarrassed when I find out who he is.

I gotta have FUNNY movies - can't stand romance and especially adultery.

Even books about it bother me. I just finished "The Lovely Bones" - loved the book (really only for chics, sorry guys), but HATED the adultery part.

I agree with lots so far, but there are a few that have been left off the lists...

Classics that have not yet been mentioned but deserve to be:
LA Confidential.
The Untouchables ("ain't it just like a w*p, bringin' a gun to a knife fight").
It's a Wonderful Life (I know it's done to death nowadays, but wasn't always...)
Shawshank Redemption
Gone with the Wind
East of Eden (I like this better than Rebel w/o a Cause, personally)
Casablanca (c'mon, people!!)

And my 80's favorites...
Ferris Beuller's Day Off
The Sure Thing
Say Anything (yeah, Cusak again)

And a few other non-classics, but I love them anyway...
Hunt for Red October
Robin Hood (the one with Kevin Costner...and Alan Rickman stole the show)
Top Gun...it's just so senior year in HS.
Hi Fidelity (John Cusak again)
The Fugitive (Tommy Lee Jones is a hottie, too)
Speaking of Duvall and TLJ, Lonesome Dove...even though it was for TV

A recent one that I liked: In Good Company with Dennis Quaid and Scarlett Johansen as father/daughter...sweet little movie.

There's more but I'm drawing a blank...
