That's what I'm saying. The weather in So Cal is great right now and I want to go out of town and have some fun with the kids...but I don't want to do stuff we always do...any suggestions?

We do Sea World alot and the kids love it so I may do that, but I am not sure...

I love your plan, Chris. So happy that self-proclaimed "DD19" is so cool. Watch out for elk droppings.

Tonight the kids and I are camping out in the back yard. Going out for breakfast tomorrow. DS7 has a baseball game in the afternoon. Probably out for dinner, too. Maybe work on the Star Wars story with them.

Sunday I transfer the kids at noon and will then likely fritter the day away. Some woodworking, maybe, and a long walk on the beach. Still working toward that massage, too. I Am pretty boring, but I'm okay with that.

Two words . . . hot tub.

I'll think about you while I walk if that will make you feel better. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Great, thanks! Oh, man, it would be great to have a hot tub at the beach...I love the hypnotic sound of waves rushing in and receding.

SL,

It certainly sounds better than "rushing" to the bathroom in the middle of the night and "receding" hairlines.

you guys sound like your havin' way too much fun...
I happen to be at work tonight until 7am....then sleep until 3pm....dinner with the kiddos at a fav steak house, and then back to bed for work on Sun morning....hmmmm...I have got to look into one of those 9-5 jobs....na...nevermind...I like mine just fine!!

I did have fun on wed night (would have been my friday) I cooked a huge dinner for friends..and we watched a very B movie...and talked through the whole thing....saw friends that I hadn't seen in years. it was great fun....

sd and sl....jealous of both of you...beach or hot tub aye!!!! I'll take either one....but both would be so romantic....

sl do you have music or entertainment nearby, my neighbor has his set up so you can look through the slider and watch the game...typical sports enthusiast...

sdg...do you live ON the beach?...I am very envious...

I live about a mile from the beach. My commute takes me along the beach (Torrey Pines State Beach). When I get stuck in "traffic," it's either in the pine forest or on the beach. Even with all the crap I have suffered over the last two years, I know that I am a blessed person.

My neighbors invited me in tonight for happy hour. The kids had a great time playing with neighbor kids, and I got lubricated myself. They all know and embrace me and my children. It's great.

I need to eat something to soak up some of the wine I drank, or I will have tent-spins.

Weekend 4 of the Soiree.

The Wyoming Women's team advanced last night to the WNIT Championship. DD19 and I drove one more time to Larimie to watch a triple overtime win over Kansas State (DD19 once played ball with one of the KS starters). It is so great to see these young women as the toast of a whole city. Old men sit in the stands and know every players name. They expect the first sellout in Wyoming Women's history and yep, DD19 and I already have tickets.

We are going to make a full day out of it.

Sunday I will be helping coach a JV level girls team in two games and a 6th grade boys team in the evening. Full weekend. Guess I will have to put off a couple more of Wayzilla's gimme gimme I wants this weekend. I am sure she will be understanding.

Last weekend was the San Diego weekend. Took the kids to Sea World, did the beach thing, rode the trolley. Kids had a grat time... so did I, but I am still tying to catch up on my sleep.

Kids will be gone this Fri and sat, so I have the pleasure of catching up on all the cleaning, laundry, yard work, etc. that I put off from last weekend.

I think I will try to get to San Diego again over spring break. It will be fun to take it easy.

We'll see...
