Grandpa walks over to his grandson and asks what he is doing. The grandson tells him that he is trying to put a worm back in the hole. Grandpa tells him that you can’t do that. You can never get a worm back into a hole. The grandson asks if grandpa wants to put $5 on it?
A while later the grandson calls grandpa out to the yard to show him that he can in fact get a worm back into the hole. The grandson pulls out a can of starch and sprays it on the worm and then pushes the worm back down the hole.
Seeing this grandpa goes back to the house to get the $5. He returns about 15 minutes later with $20. The grandson said grandpa the bet was only for $5 not $20. Grandpa said the $5 from me and the other $15 is from grandma.

M2L, The grandson pulls out a can of starch and prays it on the worm and then pushes the worm back down the hole. I love a good typo that FH and JL will find inner meaning to, I'm sure: "Prays Starch on it to get it go where it otherwise would not go" ...... OK GUys, how is that scriptural?

I love jokes, I just wish I could remember all of them...or any of them.
I do have a thought given Mimi's comment and it has to do with discussions my W and I have had over the years. One thing men do laugh at themselves alot. We make jokes about ourselves alot. It is part of the male culture to not take ourselves too seriously when in the company of other men. The jokes can be very off color, as anyone in the military can attest.
But, given that one of the things my W and I talk about is TV shows. In most of them it is always the male that is a fool, a baffoon, clueless, and incompentent. We were sensitive to this as two of our three children were males, and one of them even had a ardent feminist teacher in school that was so down on boys that he came home one day very very down and when my W inquired about what was wrong, he exclaimed he wished he was a girl because boys are no good. It seems he was very sensitive that this woman really pushed his buttons not personally but by her comments to the whole class. Unfortunately, she had tenure (who'd have thought in the 4th grade), and she could not be fired because legally she had said nothing wrong, she had not cursed in front of the children.
My point in all of this is that only Lucy ever played a part similar to that many males play on TV, and I suspect it is because men can laugh at themselves and do so regularly, women on the other hand...don't. At least not with consistency that a TV show needs to be successful.
So I see Mimi's point of view and yes have experienced something like it first hand with one of my sons. I also know that I laughed at FH's joke whole heartedly, because to me it is funny.
Now if I could only remember a good joke. Well I do have one but you all have seen me post it many times. So I will refrain.

How many F do you count?

M2L,
Inside this woman's mind, I laughed when I heard saw the word "starch" in your joke because my mind was expecting something like that. I did not see the typo until the second time I read it. So your joke worked for me whether or not you fixed the typo.

M2L, I didn't get your joke, even after you changed the prays to sprays.
And I can't find the sixth F.
Mimi,
I have to be in a certain mood to laugh at canned jokes. If I am in a laughing mood...well I'll laugh at anything.
I remember how insulting and frustrating Ark said "Everyone Loves Raymond" was to her. They are so mean to each other, and it is not very funny. And it isn't funny to me at all either, but some people just think it is hilarious.
I don't like racist or gay jokes. And that is because I am hyper sensitive to the perpetuation of hate/fear. And I find racial name calling extemely upsetting.
So I too understand your sensitivity.
Now Mrs. W makes me laugh. I find her very funny. Mel and Ark too. Kimmy well, that goes without saying. 2long and Appy's sense of humor rocks.
Frog can be pretty funny too, now that I think of it.
Dang I could go on and on. We have so many funny people of this board. How lucky is that?
M2L, well I hold my comments.

It looks like the thread is turning into an awards show:
“And the nominees for most comedic poster in the category of Sad and Pathetic Reality Series With No Hope of Cancellation are…….."
Testosterone boys! Testosterone! It ain’t just for nose, ear and back hair anymore!

I thought on Fridays we weren't supposed to be so grouchy. Geesh - some people need to lighten up. 15% think it's to skinny ? I challenge that stat !
