So if you keep talking to him and filling that need, why should he come back?

Orchid, what if conversation is his top EN (unlikely for a male, but still!)?

It is better for ENs to be met by the spouse rather than a (potential or existing) OP.

Focus on WHO'S need you are filling. Top EN for whom?

If convo is a need, that's easily controlled. Talk to your H and not the WS.

I think conversation is one of his top emotional needs. He is constantly calling his friends and family, we always teased him that he was like a teenage girl with the phone.

No it is not alright with me that he left.
But, Howard McDonald said that to stop the divorce, I had to instantly and happily accept and agree with anything and everything he does- to take the wind out of his sails. And that is exactly what happened when I started to follow H McD's advice.

I am mixing the advice I got from Homer MacDonald, Divorce Busting - Michelle Weirner, and Marriage Builders. I just go the book Love Must Be Tough by James Dobson, so I will read that and apply what I think fits my situation.

Like I said, I am just doing the best that I can.
I feel like a heel for saying this, but, no one has all the answers to everything, except God. I am praying about everything most of all and trusting God to guide my decisions and I have prayed that God would be the author of my feelings, thoughts, words, and actions.

I trust in God most of all. I know He will work it our according to His plan for our lives.

Before, he didn't want me at all. So this is improvement!

Gotta go!
Love and Thanks for the advice!
Keep it coming!
