I think the issue is that Gandalf's wife is using the information from snooping, to hurt him.
But maybe snooping might actually help a spouse who is trying to fly right. I screwed up before. I regret it.
If my husband put a keylogger on our computer now, I think he'd see that I've honestly been trying to deserve him since I disappointed him recently with stupid activities I had no business getting involved in.
I've promised myself that I will take desperate measures to make it impossible for me to disappoint him. If he told me he was checking behind me, it might actually help reinforce that. It would be the two of us keeping me out of trouble.
I love my husband, and I'd do anything to keep his love.
