Hey BC, I figured there was too many Texans in this thread, had to add another [censored]@ss!

Harrumph!

I didn't see the no Texans allowed sign.

Tell me what you get when a [censored]@ss marries a Texan?

No, really, tell me, cause my Texan sister married one!

He's a good guy...anyway....LOL!!

I do this for a living. I wouldn't post a procedure that was either difficult to install or hard to use.

Maz - you get a funny talking Texan.

I went to Hardened Sinners for a year, then grad-ye-ated with Ralph the swimming pig. With a theatre degree, no less. Apparenty I am qualified to scrub toilets with that degree. Or deliver pizzas.

Hi Texans!!!! Good to see some around.

Of course - I can usually hear Mel with the computer TURNED OFF. Them East Texas girls are like that. (learned about them in high school, had a lot of Southern Belle friends...)

I was born amidst the rednecks, out west of the oil Suits.

Who can name all of the towns?

far

Somebody sent me a pps on a cajun wedding. I am NOT going to open it unless someone fesses up to doing it - attachments are evil unless you know where they are from.

Uh, there WAS a joke running around with that one. It was the what do you get when you cross a [ethnic] with a [ethnic] string. I remember the black/mexican one, and some others, but NOT the cajun/texan one.

I can think of some;

All hat, no alligators.
Ya'll cheri.

But actually, you get somebody who tells bad cajun jokes:

You Might be a Cajun If....

...you start an angel food cake with a roux.

...watching the "wild kingdom" inspires you to write a cookbook.

...you think the head of the united nations is boudreaux/ boudreax-guillory.

...you think a lobster is a crawfish on steroids.

...you think ground hog day and boucherie day are the same holiday.

...you take a bite of 5-alarm Texas chili and reach for the Tabasco.

...fred's lounge in mamou means more to you than the grand ole opry.

...you pass up a trip abroad to go to the crawfish festival in breaux bridge.

...your children's favorite bedtime story begins "first you make a roux..."

...your description of a gourmet dinner includes the words "deep fat fried."

...your mama announces each morning, "well, I've got the rice cooking-what will we have for dinner?"

...you greet your long lost friend at the Lafayette international airport with "iiiiieeeeeee!"

...you sit down to eat boiled crawfish and your host says "don't eat the dead ones" and you know what he means.

...you don't know the real names of your friends, only their nicknames.

...you gave up Tabasco for lent.

...you know the difference between zatarains, zeringue, and zydeco.

...your dog thinks the bed of your pickup is his kennel.

...any of your dessert recipes call for jalapenos.

...you consider Opelousas the capital of the state, and Lafayette the capital of the nation.

...you think the four seasons are: duck, rabbit, deer, squirrel.

I've got to go resemble that remark. I'll comment later. If I make it back alive.

Wish me luck. The alligators are already nervous.

read my thread if you don't get it.

Where did all these swamp rats come from??? Did they open up Sodom and Gomorrah??

Well, there is these bridges across the "SABINE" river that allows social interactions between those who walk upright on both sides of it. The ones on the east side are called "Swamp rats, because they keep trying to steal wemin from those on the West side, who naturally enough, return the favor by trying to steal wemin from the east side which is more fun than staying home to defend what they think they are already tired of.

The west side gang are called "Pointy Headed pinE Cone KnockERS," which explains why they didn't notice the reason for the swamp rats neglecting their wemin until it was too late. By the time the swamp rats figured out the same thing it was also too late to do anything about it.

The offspring of these unnatural unions grew up and moved to Oklahoma, where they took stuff from the Indians and to Arkansas, where they took stuff away from each other. Still another set went on to develop the secret rite of alligator wrestling in the dark. That's the bunch you hardly ever hear about because not too many figured out how to do it.

And the ones who did decided to prove they were serious PHECKER/SWAmpraTS progeny by coming up with a new version. This involves large quantities of beer until one passes out. The others practice their art and the one who passed out gets to try alligator wrestling while drunk and asleep. That is a test of manhood only one guy has every passed. The reason he passed is attributed to his mama keeping her big hair all during his teen years and he had to be prepared to defend her honor even when sneaked up on at night, which usually happened after she drug him down to the mall by his ear and marched him past all his buddies.

An alternative for those who don't want the toolbar is to open another tab or window in your browser and go to www.onelook.com. It's a meta-dictionary.

Aph,

Great idea (www.onelook). I'll check it out.
