How I met Your Mother is a very funny show

OK, I remember now. I saw previews for it and wanted to check it out. Somebody I like is in it and I can't remember who.

I guess I'll have to take a look

Thanks for the tip

RIN!!

There you are. I thought I was gonna have to drag you over here. I gave you a break b/c of your mess, but you need to catch up. It's been CRAZY all week and you've missed several oppertunites to take shots at me.

Come on, let me see what you got

All the good jokes are taken, but I'm sure there's more. Dig deep!

Bet you had no idea that LA is one of my all time fav vaca places.

Never had a bad meal EVER. From the shabbiest road side shack to Commander's Palace to all of Emeril's places - LOVE your state

Keep the Tabasco tour,,,, but I went wild in the store! And I HATE to shop!

I will refrainfrom the many, many, obnoxious comments I could make on other things,,,n for now! Watch out later when I am back on my game!

Well I've NEVER eatin at any of the fancy places, but I've hit just about every road side shack in the state.

If you went to Avery Island then you were exactly 20 min from my house.

Oh Lord, now I gotta watch out for you and Rin.

I need a place to hide.

You can run but you can't hide!

I love both the fancy and not so fancy. Frankly, I loved Enola's place better than Paul's even though he is the 'famous' one

As former marching band geek. It should be considered a sport. We practiced for hours through the searing sun, ravaging rains and freezing cold. Even the football team practiced indoors when it rained.

Embrace in you inner band geek!

The hardest parade for me was the Apple Blossom Parade,
several miles and it was always hot as heck..

My oldest kid is fascinated by how things are made. He would love the Tabasco tour. I am gonna take him one of these days. He is also ODD at 12. So I get to tell him all about Marine General McIlehenney and how he left his fortune to the Marine Academy in Harlingen just so kids like him can go learn to take orders, or else.

As you can tell, I have fond memories of your neck of the swamp; memories of Jackson Square and a free meal at Antoines, which is an interesting story, at least for me, and New Iberia and the Convent in Franklin, and on and on and on. But mostly it was the people. I learned early on that the Police Jury ruled just about everywhere and if I had friends on the Commissions, I was accepted except in Port Barre, which is yet another story. I even learned how to drive on LA 1 during sugar cane harvest, which is worse than Vermont during a snowstorm.

The legend of Dudley LeBlanc lives on. You live in that kinda place.

They love "Dirty Jobs" and that might be something they would love to see! Besides lafayette only and hour and a half away! Can I find that info on a website?

How much is the Jungle Gardens and Bird City admission?

Beau, is it really like two hours from Houma?

No, 1 1/2 at the most. I can't remember the admission but it didn't seem like it was TOO bad. You can spend an entire day roaming around and picnicing. It's a lot of fun.

You take the exit after Lewis St.(that's the exit with the Burger King) coming from Houma. There's nothing at the Avery Island exit. Then hang a left and head south. It's only a few minutes south of 90.

Avery Island is actually a salt dome. It looks like a mountain emerging from the swamp. There's several around the state. They don't even know how deep the deposits are. Some speculate 40 to 50 thousand feet. Guess where the nation's table salt comes from?

Cool, I was thinking if I can handle it to go this weekend...

It would give us something to do! WOW, see I've learned something new! I think the kids would really enjoy that! I little gas, a few bucks, and we can make the day of it!

Perhaps I can get a little sun on these legs of mine! LMAO

I still embrace my band geek. I follow drum corp a little. I'm a big fan of the Madison Scouts.

I was actually invited to tour Europe with the National Collegiate Wind Ensemble, BUUUTTTT my priorities were a bit skewed at 18 and I chose to play American Legion baseball instead. It was a travel squad and we went to Panama City, Fl. You can see how tough a decision that was to make.

I did have the pleasure of getting my a$$ handed to me by the future LSU College World Series Champs. They beat us 19 to 17 in 4 1/2 hours in August in South Louisiana at noon.

At least I can tell my grand kids one day that I got a base hit off those b@stards.

I am a huge fan of Drum Corp. The Cavaliers, Scouts, Phantom Regiment. I was marching 2-3 years before you were born BCBeau. I was at the very first DCI finals in 1972 in Whitewater Wisconsin. There was a top 12 corp back then from Louisiana called the Bleu Raiders. Great times!

The tour comes through Baton Rouge every year in July. I'm gonna try to bring DS this year. He's been to marching festivals before and loved it.

He's taken to the drums though. Don't know if he's gonna follow the ole man.
