I think I will hate you both for a couple of days then...then when the weather is slightly less toxic, I will love you again!

Cheers to the saving power of this tread!!!

BC and Chrisner-

Have fun, but not TOO much fun!

Be careful, and avoid the old chicks that keep asking you if you remember their name....

LOL!

Man, this guy can really cook! I have to imagine that the average Cajun must weigh in around 1,100 lbs.

We had a Civil War reenactment last night after a few beers with the Minnesota 1st Regiment and the Louisiana Tigers locking horns (in neutral Colorado so there was no home field advantage) for old time’s sake. It ended in a draw and a lot of laughs and more beer.

What’s up today? About 10-12 people coming over to meet Beau and eat Cajun food.

We’ll need more beer.

Hey I am going on 47. I am good with Beau's version of an "old chick".

Yep, he's back, this is his busy season at work from what I hear, and then, I'm sure that he has alot to get caught up on from vacation!

He posted a little bit on my thread, haven't talked to him since he's been back!

I'm looking forward to hearing about the trip too!

I'm around, just been doing a little lurking to keep up with a few threads. I'm stupid busy at work and it's going to take me a few more days to catch up. I also get DS back today, he's been in NH with FM visiting family since I left for vacation. So I have plenty to say, just no time to say it.

I'm trying to get something posted this week.

Thanks for checking in.

HEY!! It's Me

I'm alive and well. Finally caught up at work and ready to spill the beans on my trip. I promise to tell every tale that is allowable on this forum.

Here goes

Beau & Chrisner's Beer Drinking & Mountain Peeing Tour of Colorado
Chapter I - The Arrival

You know you’re about to have the vacation of your life when your aircraft is upgraded at the gate and instead of listening to lite and airy favorites of the 60’s and 70’s for 2 hours you get to watch Blades of Glory and laugh uncontrollably. Could there be anything funnier than watching Napoleon Dynamite and Ricky Bobby skating in a 69 formation in competition? I guess nobody else was watching b/c nobody was laughing with me; it was more like they were staring at me with heads cocked like a confused dog.

So my flight arrives ahead of schedule, my luggage is waiting for me on the carousel, and the minute I walk out to passenger pick up and call Chris, he’s 2 minutes away. 2 minutes later an old bearded guy (a.k.a. distinguished and mature bloke) pulls up in a green Subaru (a.k.a. Thunder on Wheels), he gets out we take one look at each other and we’re like, “Oh yeah, lets do this!” So I get into green thunder and the first thing I see is no lie, serious as a heart attack, a Cougar Vibrator Scraper . So I’m thinking Chris, use this often? Am I going to need this while I’m here? Is this a necessary tool in your arsenal? Then I’m thinking, Hey, I’m on vacation, let’s roll! I’d say cue Born to be Wild at this point, but 2 mules barreling into Denver in a green Subaru looked more like the mini bike scene in Dumb and Dumber.

So we make it to Chrisner’s house to unload. I think I walked in, dropped my bag on the floor, and went straight for the fridge. It was bud light time. So we have a couple a bud lights and Chris gets a phone call from some friends in Fort Collins. So now we’re heading for Fort Collins to meet them for dinner and bud light. So after a round of Prime Rib and a few rounds of bud light I get into a conversation with one of Chris’s female friends about my 15 pound weenie named Dixie, b/c what women doesn’t enjoy hearing about a 15 pound weenie. So this conversation goes south real fast and it isn’t long before people are turning purple b/c they can’t breathe. I’d like to dialogue some of what was said, but that’s not in the best interest of the forum. So after a few more hours of bud light and witty banter we called it a night.

So that was what was safe to say about day 1 of the tour. Coming up next: Chapter II – Baseball and News Reporters

Edited for Cougar Vibrator Scrapers and A.K.A.s

Wow, BC. I always thought my 10-year old POS green Subaru 1,800 CC "Thunder on Wheels" station wagon to be a real chick magnet. I am hurt.

You forgot about your playing with the Cougar Vibrator scraper.

As I recall you two had a real long conversation about proper hose handling too.
