You make it sound like having 20 posts makes me less knowledgable than you, with your however many posts.

Can I make a suggestion? If you truly want to help folks around here, why not knock off the harping and grab a shovel? There are lots of folks here who could use some guidance in Plan A, Plan B, and the basic MB principles. If you truly want to be helpful, that would be the way to demonstrate your sincerity. Standing around nitpicking those who ARE doing the work is not helping anyone. Why not just pick up a shovel and get to work? It would help your credibility immensely.

Sandi - At the end of the day, it DOES matter. I hope you will continue to post. I always appreciate differing opinions. There use to be a joke here that people were "drinking the koolaid".

yes, I believe this referred to anyone who actually believed in and promoted MB principles! WHYEVER WOULD WE DO THAT ON THE MARRIAGE BUILDERS WEBSITE! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Mel and Marsh - I've read about smelling salts. But we yankee women (having crossed the country by covered wagon) aren't prone to the "vapors".

Well, didn't you fall off a chair or something?

"yes, I believe this referred to anyone who actually believed in and promoted MB principles! WHYEVER WOULD WE DO THAT ON THE MARRIAGE BUILDERS WEBSITE! LOL"

Actually, the way I look at it is that the koolaid drinkers all see only ONE WAY, they all agree with each other ad nauseum, and don't welcome any other views.

But it could be because I have avoided the koolaid - saw what happened to the original drinkers.

LMAO B.

You see this is what I don't get. A perfectly reasonable post from someone who I saw as a perfectly reasonable person with a good attitude and a slightly differing opinion immediately comes in for the sarcasm and taunts.

And once again I think, "who died and made these people kings".

The way I see it, we are here to look at it the MARRIAGE BUILDERS WAY. I think that may be the goal on the Marriage Builders website. Call me silly, but I suspect that is why they set it up and is why people come here.

Mel - I agree with all of the MB principles, because they WORK. In other matters, I think the private emailing, koolaid drinking folks have a case of groupthink (that's a left-coaster word) going.

Yes, it is called the Marriage Builders website and the only part of it that has any credibility is the main website where the concepts and questions are set out in great detail and is all anyone really needs to be able to recover their marriage. It's a great site and I am a loyal convert and was from the first day I printed out everything there and bound it in a folder.

The discussion board is a group of disparate people who choose to discuss what they've read on the main site and support each other through a shared experience in whatever way they choose, be it joking around, being deadly serious or passing on the knowledge and experiences they have already been through, in an attempt to help others.

I don't know who does "private emailing" [except your idiotville group] but surely you are aware that others think the same about your idiotville group?

And Idiotville doesn't have private emailing. Some may email, I don't know. I have emailed Kiwi, but it is not the same as the other group - BigK (where is he? I wanna put him on ignore again) the Wonderings, etc.

The other group does not have private emailings, believer. But yes, idiotville did, at one time, have private emailings. Not that there is nothing WRONG with private emailings. Lots of folks from this board do it and even have private spin off boards. I do.

LOL BigK, thanks. If I "disliked" everyone I had differences of opinion with I don't think life would be much fun or have much point.

BTW, and, boy, this is ironical, LOL, did you get my email answering your question?
