ML,

I love threads like this that offer excellent and concrete advice at a time when BSs are so confused and hurt they're often easily manipulated. This is a thread that I'll bet money, is going to get linked for alot of BHs (or any spouse) being encouraged to leave their home by a WS. Thank you!

*editted for grammar. YIKES...that's what happens I type without drinking enough coffee. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

"Tump" is a combination of "dump" and "tip", as in, "His boat tumped over."

Yes, I speak Texas. I grew up in San Antonio and went to Texas A&M for a short time, as well as SWTSU in San Marcos.

Excellent advice. The faithful spouse is losing so much already; he/she should at least get to keep the security of their own home.

Thanks for the bump -- even for non-newcomers.

Looks like we're headed down this path AGAIN and I was AGAIN tempted to get an apartment (see my post in the early part of this thread) just to put it all behind me and try and reserve some stability for my kids.

After reading this post again (including my own contribution earlier), I'm not going to leave my home.

Prayers are requested.

Thanks

Praying for you Artor.

How long until the kids are in college? Can you kick HER out then?

You've endured far more than I would, but I can't really understand how it is for you since we had been empty nesters for 5 years before H had his A.

You are understandably set on putting your DD's stability at the top of your priority list. A noble cause, really. Is it still the best for them when their mom is apparently not as invested in their wellbeing as you are?

Did you read Chrisner's threads? His DD was about the same age as yours when he made the tough choices. She has sided with him and now appears to have a stable view of what is moral and ethical and right. It's not totally like your sitch, but similar in this respect; he stayed (and bought her out) in his home.

Glad you're staying put, Artor. If the time for the inevitable comes, (I hope it doesn't, but if it does), I pray that you'll be able to recognize it and have the strength to follow through. Maybe that will be what it takes to de-fog (or wake up) your wife.
